After reserving our room 3 weeks in advance, we were told the only rooms they had to offer us was either a "Pet" room, or one on the second floor, and there was no elevator. We are in our 70s and the flights of stairs were a no. Upon a quick inspection, the "Pet" room appeared adequate. But as it turns out....the shower stall was filthy. Niether of us would use the shower. It looked like someone had pulled the towel rack off the wall, it had been replaced but never painted. The hair dryer's wires were held together with black tape. Outside the pool was closed. There were 5 or 6 mattresses leaned against something, and upon seeing this, we slept in our clothes afraid of bed bugs. The walls against the bathroom had been recently repaired and the floor replaced with non matching laminate. We will never ever stay in this place again. We have good friends in Rogersville and plan to visit often. But again we wont stay there.

sorry for the experience , even advanced booking has to come in that advance to use advance discounted rate, As per your request for Early check in ,and hand held shower (couldn't get either Ur requests fill ) we see what the frustration can be! Great u have other option in the town, good luck for your next stay

Overall an okay stay.
Overall it was okay. It was a bad weekend to find a hotel due to the holiday but we had business in the area. Some of the reviews were bad so my expectations were low. Front desk was very professional. We did have to change our sheets as the ones on the bed were stained and we noticed the hallways could have used a quick vacuum. We were told that they are struggling to find and keep house keepers and that shows. No extra pillows or blankets and a few maintenance issues here and there that if not corrected will evolve into bigger issues. It appears that they have put in new laminate floors and are making upgrades, so again overall it wasn't a bad stay. The shower was a plus if you enjoy super hot and great water pressure.

The hotel front desk was very nice to me and remembered me when I was there last time reporting on the Summer Wells case. The hotel staff printed me up pictures of Summer so I can share them around the community while I searched for her. Great place. I will go back when I follow up on the Wells case.

My recent experience
Management was very nice but I did not have a good stay overall. I had to request a room change. The first room had a couch in it that was old and stained. The bathtub needed replacing. The other room was better but my car got keyed in the parking lot.

I paid extra for insurance that if we had to leave early we would be refunded the remaining balance..We checked out a day early & we checked out 39 mins before check out time. The manager said that didn’t matter we had to paid for the full stay.

I have stayed at this same property 4 to 5 different times on my visits to Rogersville, Tennessee. I’m very happy with amenities, the room and the staff. Hopefully I will be traveling to Rogersville in the future and I will probably stay at this establishment the next time if possible. They are my first choice !!

Property was updated and kept up pretty well. Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was okay, basic, but they had decent coffee so that is always a plus. Room was nice, several hairs found in tub, bathroom but otherwise very acceptable. No elevator so if you are mobility limited be sure to get first floor.

HORRIBLE
The room was absolutely not what was pictured in the listing. It looked like it had been on fire at some point, one of the lampshades was half melted, the fire alarm was melted on the side and bottom and the plastic on the tv was all warped and pulling away from the metal. The room looked like it had been half ass cleaned and I had to hunt the alarm clock down in a drawer, no hairdryer in the room either. They were booked and unable to give me a different room. I requested and was approved for a late check out when I checked in, however had a staff member beat on my door at 11 to advise it was check out when informed we were approved for a late check out they said there was nothing written down so we needed to go. I am livid, all I wanted was sleep, this week has been traumatic to say the least and all we wanted was to freaking rest but nope. There were also unattended children running all over the hotel and parking lot. This morning when leaving I noticed the cleaning staff had zero protective gear and didn't appear to be sanitizing the rooms. They also were not pulling the top blankets off the beds. I know pre covid this was common in hotels but given the changes in the policies of everywhere else I've delt with, why were they not changing the top blankets to ensure nothing was being spread? I literally watched my father in law die from this crap on Thursday, I truly expected more of an effort from the hotel to maintain sanitary rooms.
