Feels like an old property that's been remodeled and updated, but bed was really firm and the Cable TV (signal) wasn't the best - no channel guide caused endless "flipping"

We are an old property that has been remodeled and updated. In the future if your room is missing TV guide sheet just let front desk know and they would be more than happy to provide you with one.

This place was great for the price and area just a block from the restaurants and shops . Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and spacious but the beds were stiff only thing I suggest is maybe adding some foam mattress to the beds for better comfort. Rooms need microwaves in them as well .

Thank you for your feedback and review, we take eveyones suggestions into consideration and the problem with adding a foam mattress is that they can carry a lot of mites, dust, bacteria and are to hard to keep clean, and not everyone lilkes super soft mattresses and vice versa. and we just removed all the microwaves in the rooms recently other than that we hope you enjoyed your stay and we would love for you to come back and stay with us again.

Although the property is nice, in a nice location in a nice place, my credit card was used one day AFTER I checked out to buy pizza from the local pizzeria. After contacting pizzeria, the pizza deliverer said he delivered the pizza to the FRONT DESK at Hotel Avisa. So either my card was hacked by a guest or the FRONT DESK at this hotel made themselves welcome to my credit card....just saying. Contacted Hotel Avisa manager one day after this theft, and she was not helpful whatsoever. BEWARE here!

Thank you for your feedback. The hotel has attempted to contact you in regards to these false accusations multiple times with no avail. We have cameras on the premise and there was no pizza delivery made to our hotel. You clearly stated to the manager that you got your money back from the credit card company when you initially called. The hotel does not retain credit card numbers on our system. They only info they have access to is the last 4 digits which is not enough to make a pizza order let alone make any fraudulent charges. Your credit card may have been compromised through another one of your purchases, but stating that it was this hotel without any factual information and via hearsay is quite malicious and unfair to the front line employees who are trying to do their job.

Thank you for your review, and we do offer coffee in the mornings in the lobby we also provide coffee krug makers with pods in every room. and unfortunately no hotel in town or surrounding towns have over night staff.

Do not stay here
Do not stay here. Upon checking in, you are told about an extra $100 fee. This fee is not indicated anywhere on the travel websites upon booking. And, upon checking in it is too late to cancel your booking as you will be charged with a cancellation/no show charge. The fee is released upon their discretion after you check out but they process the fee so you have to wait for your bank to process the reversal.

Sorry to hear you were not happy with our policies, but you need to be accurate with your accusations cause if you would have read under the polices tab it states that a deposit will be required at check-in for incidental, and the fee is not released at our discretion It is released as soon as you check out! so again we're sorry you arent happy with our policies but thousands of hotels take a deposit when you check in.have a blessed day

Great quiet location one-block back from the bay. Short walk to the old village part of town. Helpful desk staff. Beautifully renovated property with an elevator, covered parking and a great price when we visited in December.

Weekend at the Hearst Castle
The room had a leak in the ceiling; there was a dark spot about 3 inches long above the TV. the closet door was broken, the bathroom vent fell off, and the shower head was coming loose. Beds were comfortable. Took pictures of everything and went to the lobby to show the host. He said he would let management know.

We’ve stayed at this location a few times over the last few years and it has gone down hill as the name changes. It was very deceiving when booking a room, the picture showed an ocean view. We assumed a deluxe king room with balcony would have ocean view but it did not. Our air conditioning would not work, only the fan. The towel rack broke completely off the wall when hanging up a towel. And the tv/remote were not properly connected which resulted in us having to manually press buttons hidden on back of the television.

The rooms that have the ocean view specifically say deluxe king bed, balcony oceanview. All of the other room types do not say that. We will address the other issues that you encountered. However, please note that if you had brought that to our attention during your stay we would have fixed them immediately or offered your another room. Room was great. Location is good, convenient, and quiet. TV was frustrating. Could not get to basic NBC to watch the football game. Channel guide is cut-off but that didn't matter due to remote jumping two clicks for every key.
