Close to center, easy walk

Posted Jul 29, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Not sure
Location: Train station, cathedral, park, bridges, restaurants.
We found parking across the hotel, although later found out there is "free" parking around back of the hotel. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great. Staff were a bit annoyed when we first arrived, because of a big group of Chinese who were trying to check in, but later staff was pleasant.

Convenient hotel at the edge of historic center

Posted Oct 25, 2015
Hotel exterior dated. Bathroom design poor. Room small but quiet. Linens adequate. Decor nice. Door did not close well and had to be checked. Express breakfast was decent and cost similar to patisserie. Parking lot snug. Bed comfortable for back sleepers, a bit too firm for side sleepers. A bit too far to quickly walk to Cathedral. Staff polite and friendly.

Good value hotel, close to Metz Centre

Posted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable room
Cons: Looks a bit run down (not terrible) from the outside but don't let it put you off
Location: The hotel is very close to the train station and all of the towns tourist points. Nancy is about 35 miles away and well worth a visit.
The hotel looks a bit dated from the outside but was perfect for us once you went through the doors. The room was pretty big, clean and had everything you would want. The mattress was really good and I wouldn't normally mention but it was so comfy. Free parking is always a bonus in town centers also. Metz is nice place to visit. Plenty of bars and quirky restaurants and well worth a visit.

Great Location

Posted Aug 20, 2015
This hotel is situated on the edge of the city centre but within easy walking distance of the shops, restuarants and Cathedral. The reception is nice and modern, the staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a free car park at the back of the hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfy bed, it has a fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom is very nice. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A good hotel to use if you visit Metz.

Tired but being renovated Meantime good value

Posted Apr 27, 2014
The hotel is perfectly located and the staff and lobby/ restaurant area are all very smart and helpful The room is tired and the bathroom even more so but they are gradually renovating floor by floor The fourth was being done when we stayed but the work was 9-6 so didn't spoil sleep. Looks likely to be good when finished

A lovely, clean and comfortable hotel in a central location with parking. Easy access and a good stopover place on the way into Central Europe from the UK. Also in a lovely city & definitely worth a visit!

Does the job!

Metz doesnt have many luxury hotels so its a good to choose one that pleases in other ways. Short walk from Metz station and close to the town centre. Provides free wireless and a decent breakfast. The decor is old and seems from the 1960s. I dont think it had air con. Overall I would recommend.

convenient for sightseeing

Posted Jul 11, 2013
Pros: location was convenient to the train station (we travel by train) and to the city centre
Cons: the room needed some new wallpaper, the windows opened on the local square and it was extremely loud with people screaming most of the night
very nice visit, clean room, good breakfast, pleasant and very helpful staff
