Wonderful place to stay

Posted May 20, 2016
This hotel was right in the middle of the shopping district. Easy walking distance to the old city and restaurants. Security is very high in the hotel, situated on the second floor and above. Views from the Windows add interest. The staff are extremely helpful. Breakfast is continental, good choices and again staff are extremely attentive.

Charming hotel right in old town.

Posted Feb 18, 2016
Pros: Staff, location, facilities, restaurant.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: Perfect location if you want to wander around old Heiderberg. It's right next to the picturesque bridge, with great views up to the castle.
This is a gem of a hotel: great location in old town Heidelberg, very warm reception from staff, terrific restaurant in the hotel. Charming, slightly rustic style in the rooms, but the facilities are all modern and spotless. The multi-lingual staff helped me with some practical problems and were very attentive all round. The staff clearly are invested in making this a welcoming and comfortable place, which is remarkable for such a popular tourist location.

Convenient location in Trier

Posted Jan 7, 2016
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Within the Trier centrum.
Enjoyable and comfortable hotel stay except for the early morning store cleaning crews who wake people up.

Pros: Very helpful, friendly staff; comfortable room and good value breakfast in pleasant dining room.
Location: All Trier sights in walking distance, and not far to main railway station.
A very enjoyable stay in a hotel I'd happily return to.

great location

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The room size, big bathroom. Lots of nice light and great location! friendly staff and clean room. Safe and secure.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was like a drinking fountain.
Location: It is near everything! great location, near several little grocery shops and cafes.
The hotel is great, close to everything but off the beaten path so it is fairly quiet. The room and bathroom were huge and had lots of nice light. It is so close to all the great sites, it was clean and had a great elevator. No stairs, which was nice for luggage. As well it was very safe, lots of locked doors to get through. It felt very secure. The staff was so nice and helpful as well.

Cycle-tourists beware

Posted Sep 19, 2012
If you book this hotel late, you will -- likely get a walk-up room, rough for those carrying a lot of baggage. If you book the lowest rate, you will have to pay for tricky ( allow those pop-ups) and snail-slow internet (2-3 minutes per page). As a cycle-tourit, these two factors make this an undesirable, but not necessarily an unacceptable hotel. It is well located, but its garage is a nearly impossible place to secure bicycles with a lock. Standard rooms are tiny. If you use a bicycle baggage trailer, you will literally have to hop over it to get to the bathroom.

extra costs involved

Posted Jun 21, 2011
this hotel is okay if you want to stay within the town of Wurzburg, but you must pay extra for internet service, parking, and breakfast, which are included free at most other hotels we've stayed at.

Will return to hotel next visit

Posted May 27, 2009
The hotel was very quiet as the entrance and my room were located on a side road off the main pedestrian way. The room was large for European standards. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Most major attractions were within walking distance. I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of Hotel Aulmann.

Want a hotel in the centre?

Posted Apr 28, 2009
Comfortable, clean and very convenient for the city centre and all the tourist sites within! I very much enjoyed my stay. The only criticism I have is that the parking at the hotel is very limited, so be prepared to have to park your car away from the hotel.
