Not happy.

Pros: I do a lot of traveling and stay at many different hotels, this is pretty much the only one I would not return to.
Cons: Needs updated very badly. And more care from whomever is in charge of cleaning. You should never find old short hairs from someone else on your shower
Location: Location is next to Main thoroughfare and has a market attached. Great movie theater about 10 minutes away.
We got off to a bad start when we checked in. First we were told that they had to take a $50.00 fee out of our account for a deposit. This was not mentioned on their website that we saw. We were looking forward to the hot tub but told it was out of order. We knew it hadn't been updated in awhile due to the fact that it still used the old key system which is o.k., just hadn't run into that in a long time. The beds were very uncomfortable, it felt like you were going to roll out of the bed. The worse though was there were hairs on the back of the but when we went to take a shower. After we got home Expedia asked how the visit went and when I complained they sent it to the hotel. The hotel wrote back and said that we would get out money back depending on how fast the bank returned it. That is not a good excuse, if you are going to take additional money out make sure it is on your website where people can see it before booking.

We're sorry you were taken back when it came to the deposit for room security. Since we are unable to charge Expedia for room damages, this has become our only way in which to prevent room damages. I can also let you know, we ar in the midst of a total hotel renovation. I hope you will give us another try, once our renovations are complete.

Bad choice to spend less money...

I came with my two daughters hoping they could swim, jacuzzi and sauna. Everything was broken or run-down. It was freezing outside so we had the heat up. The heater blew cold air. We slept horrible because we did not feel safe in such a run-down, under staffed hotel. There was no DVD player or any other movie rental capability. So we had to use our laptops & Netflix. I almost left & went across the street to The Comfort Inn. We travel a lot and I will never go to another shilo inn. Lack of amenities should have been written on Expedia website before purchase!

I was sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience during your brief stay with us. Unfortunately, our Spa and Sauna are currently down, pending renovations. I hope you will stop in once our renovations are complete (Spring 2017) and let us know of our improvements.

Not as advertised

Sauna, steam room and hot tub are all shut down. Price is higher by 50% compared to our last stay because new owners doing construction and wanting to have current guests pay for it without doing any maintenance. There have been doves inside the roof for years that are very loud but for the old prices and all the amenities functioning, it used to be charming. Will not stay there again.

Not for families

Booked this hotel for the pool, spa, sauna, and steam room. Everything but the pool was out of order and appeared to have been for some time. Could've saved 40 bucks and stayed at the Motel 6. Facilities appeared to need maintenance for some time. Might be the hotel for some but would not recommend it for a family stay. It does have a handy convenience store built on to the lobby though, prominently displaying an assortment of male enhancement pills and glass pipes for your consideration.

Pros: I,v heard that this hotel was the best now I think that it was not the best so from my experience I was very disappointed .
Cons: What I said in my Experience
The only thing that I did not like was the bath tub shower. First it had rust on the foist and hard water spots. This can be fixed by using fine steel wool. Also the shower nob to turn the shower on was broken and it could cause a mishap . Also the corners in the bath room had dirt in them and hair from the last person or persons that stayed there. And that I had to ask for a extra cover. I would make it a thing to leave a extra one in the room. as we get a little older in life we might need that extra cover.

Very disappointing stay.

Very disappointing stay. Hot tub was out of order. Light switch in room was broken -- stuck in the on position. I had to jam a piece of paper into the switch to keep the light off (or sleep with the light on). The receptionist was doing all she could to handle things (by herself, I think). At least breakfast was decent. Highly unlikely to stay there again, regardless of price difference with other nearby hotels. Have advised friends to avoid as well.

Older hotel but ok

Pros: Convenience to where I needed to be.
Cons: Carpeting, bathrooms, beds, tv. I guess everything.
Shilo Inn is an older hotel that desperately needs updating, especially since newer hotels are popping up all around it. It was clean but the bed wasn't very comfortable to me. I have a gel temperpedic at home so it's hard for me to find anything that is as comfortable. It's not a bad hotel, it just needs some updating.

Others better in area

Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: Motel needs updating badly
Location: Freeway noise BAD. But was only pass through so did not investigate any local things to do.
just overnight but room was not clean and bed terrible. However, Breakfast was beyond most motels and was very good even though out of character with the facility.

Toilet not cleaned nor flushed. Carpet dirty and not vacuumed even after I requested it to be. Bed sheets looked like they had already been slept in.
