Clean hotel; really nice front desk person

Hotel was nice, clean and quiet. Receptionist was very welcoming. Our room (224) smelled of urine, honestly. It was overpowering EVERYTIME we entered it. Eventually we got used to it. Ruby Tuesday is steps away so no need to drive for food. Pool was nice. No weirdo's hanging around. Overall, nice hotel. Oh yeah, there's free ice cream and popcorn in the lobby! I'd come back.

Good value, No Frills, excellent staff & service,

Facilities are average, easy access to Interstate 10, lots of food choices in immediate area, allow 20 min to get to Biloxi beach,

Fooled....

Not the best area. Lock your doors. Found trash on the floor in the bathroom area. Toilet was loose and moved while sitting on it. Not sure why this motel has such high rankings :/. We got fooled for sure.

I can say this the room was clean and everything but the pics on the website are kind of misleading. I myself only had one complaint the bed was hard as bricks.

All in the details

Pros: The lobby staff were so friendly & welcoming. It was beside a Ruby Tuesday & Taco Bell. We were close to several places wanted to visit.
Cons: There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom.
Location: About 40 minutes from Dauphin Island, an hour from Mobile, and not to far from the Florida line!
We found this to be a mid-scale model with such an emphasis on detail that we felt like we were staying in a higher end hotel! There's free ice cream & popcorn in the lobby all the time, and a nice breakfast each morning. There's in-room coffee, a microwave, a fridge, & plenty of both plastic & insulated cups. Also, there's affordable guest laundry, and quarters & detergent available at the front desk.

Convenient / Clean / Trustworthy staff

Well, I left my wallet in the room when I checked out. Came back 2 hours later - wallet was at front desk & nothing missing. The staff is completely trustworthy, they kept a vacation from going bad. Also they had the best coffee at the morning breakfast buffet that I ever had at a hotel / motel.
