First and last time booking a Radisson Hotel

This is an overpriced 3-star hotel that lacks customer service. To start, I must say the porters and some of the concierge staff are very nice and welcoming. However, the front desk staff lacks warmth and is slow to respond. At least three times when I called down to the front desk, no one was available to pick up and I ended up coming down from the 4th floor to speak with someone. The room was dated, and the bathroom shower leaked water both inside and outside the bathroom floor. In fact, I slipped and fell while there and the response from the hotel was abysmal. First when I called and mentioned what happened, I asked for ice for my head (which showed swelling) and for someone to come fix the shower. There was no sense of urgency from the front desk or apparent concern. After 20 minutes, no one had arrived with ice or the fix the shower. I had to go downstairs to speak to someone and still another 20 minutes went by with no one showing up. My roommate had to call downstairs a third time for someone to come up and fix the cause of the leak, but no one ever came with ice. Had this been a well-run hotel, an incident report would have been filed, a medic contacted, and a much quicker response altogether. The hotel's shuttle service was also unreliable. One night we waited with a group of 5 or 6 other guests and the shuttle never arrived. Fortunately another hotel's shuttle driver dropped us back. Lesson learned! Never again will I book at a Radisson property.

Home Away From Home Experience

Pros: The friendly staff, the cleanliness of the entire facility and its proximity to many points of interest to international visitors.
Cons: None - "don't fix it if it ain't broken"
Location: The large Waterfront shopping Center is a stone throw from the hotel. The stadium is just across fromt the hotel.
I spent just 4 nights at the Cape Town Radisson Blu Water Front but which I had the time to stay much longer. I have stayed many good hotels in many Countries and Continents but even the best of them did not rival my experience at Radisson Blu Waterfront, Cape Town. The room was impecably kept. Every Evening the staff will bring a bottle of water and a piece of chocolate. The staff were very polite and genuinely friendly. Should I have another opportunity to visit Cape Town in the future, I am definitely going back to this wonderful hotel.

Nightmare

Never booook this hotel Staff is like from a village and dosent know anything at all about hotels and they entered the room 3 times without any premission Food is like to eat yesterday meals from the refregators Room smell was newly painted and you can enjoy the smell until i ended up with midecal spray The only good thing is NOTHING

Ok, but just ok

Hotel was fine, normally I am able to talk myself to an upgraded room free of charge if a hotel is empty, but no flexibility here. I called room service to order a burger. The pricing was high, and I was then told there would be a R45 charge for deliver. 25% of the meal price. I asked if they served the burger downstairs and they said yet. I went downstairs and was told I couldn't order a club sandwich at the restaurant. After pushing they said they would offer a burger from the bar menu. I had the biltong burger which was overcooked, fried onions stale, I sent it back. Otherwise for the price there are many other charming hotels with more personal service.

Tired/worn out room.

Pros: Location is very good
Overpriced - especially for a room with a view of the parking lot - carpet so worn, that I cut my foot on the carpet tack strip (where the carpet joined the entry tile) - shower leaked into the hallway. When we arrived --- reservation was for a king room, but we were given a room with two twin beds. When we said we were supposed to have a king size bed --- the Bell Hop asked if we were OK with two twin beds. We said "no." So......he called someone and a lady came to "put the beds together." It took a LONG time and the sheet did not cover the entire mattress. It was just not a good experience. The carpet was the worst.........absolutely worn out. The room is just not worth the very high price! Stay somewhere else!

Wonderful location but rooms are not okay

Overall our stay was great - mainly due to the wonderful location of this hotel. However, our room was far below average. We were placed in a bedroom on the first floor overlooking the parking lot so we were unable to keep our window curtains open at any time. It was very upsetting and I would not recommend the hotel based on the fact that they would actually rent out a room like this to paying customers. This hotel is not cheap by any means so I was very disappointed for what we received.

Beautiful hotel.

The location along the water is great. The latch on the patio door in my room (room 318) was broken. There was a slight odor of old urine in the bathroom around the toilet bowl

Beautiful hotel with incredible views!

Cons: Nothing
Location: Infinity pool overlooking the sea, with views towards Robbin island and the V&A. Table mountain right behind.
Had a two week stay here, holiday/business. Cannot find fault with the hotel , it's staff or amenities. Incredibly hospitable staff, rooms were immaculate as was the entire hotel. Already booked for later in the year!
