Nice hotel, great staff, food generally poor.

Pros: Rooms were clean and quiet with a staff helpful and friendly.
Cons: Quality of food in the restaurant had a lot to be desired. Dinner buffet had good salads, but the meats were dried out and tasteless.
I've stayed at many Crowne Plazas over the years and this one is good, but not great.

Ok hotel. Bit noisy. Heat didn't work.

Hotel was okay overall, but heat didn't work. Was cold in room and turned heat to 82deg, but hvac kept blowing same cold air. Turned off system altogether to get rid of cold breeze, but was still cold anyway. Also, some other vent was still making a lot of noise , even after turning off system.

Business traveler review

Pros: Fast internet.
Cons: Rooms are dated and could use some improvement.
Location: Philadelphia.
I travel extensively for business. This is an average hotel. The hotel room was clean and comfortable but showed it's age. There was some water damage in the bathroom and the entry door had an actual piece missing. ESPN didn't work on the TV. I'm low maintenance, so this stuff didn't bother me. The internet was fast and this is the only thing I cared about.

Hotel has been neglected for too long!

This hotel needs a serious makeover and is overdue for an upgrade. Seems nothing has been changed after the hotel was made in 1975. Everything seems to be falling apart. The bathroom tubs have turned yellow. The shower pipe was going in and out of the wall. The room paint was peeling. There were 2 half full glasses near next room door and no one picked them up in 3 days I was there.

Worst experience.

The hotel itself was super packed and busy with a bunch of vehicle and foot traffic. Not a kid friendly place with the adult night life atmosphere. The room was terrible: the refrigerator and microwave were both broken, the door that leading to the next room looked as if it was kicked in at some point and was not fixed properly. The room staff or whom ever brings the amenities to the room when I called down was rude and the sheets were stained. I stayed here with my 3 boys and i just didn't enjoy the visit. Getting to the lobby at checkout was a nightmare as well.

This was the closest, most decent stay from Philadelphia that came up on Orbitz. We really wished they would've had a free breakfast option. Also, room service came, but only made up one of the beds. There were a couple of nights that were a little loud with our neighbors above us. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but we'll be looking for a hotel closer next time.

unable to charge my phone as UB connectors did not work, also electric plugs for iron did not work...expensive breakfast options

Convenient an Outdated

The Crowne Plaza is a large convenient full service hotel however, it desperately needs an update. The rooms need a deep clean starting with the carpets and the entire hotel would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant is over priced like all hotel restaurants. An addition of a snack area aside from a vending machine would be welcome. The staff was professional.
