Nice Stay

Easy check in. Room was in good shape. The staff was accommodating as our hair dryer did not work. They were quick in getting us a new one.

Terrible experience

The first night I was awaken by someone coming into my room at 1:00 o'clock in the morning. The front desk checked another guest in the room I was checked into. The next two nights a fire alarm went off and we had to exit the hotel for 30 minutes each time. The elevator was not operational for the 3 nights we were there.

Unfortunately, we think you may have reviewed the wrong property. Our elevator is fully functional and has been since it was last serviced in June. Additionally, safety is a primary concern at our location. With that said, we can confirm that a guest has not been checked into another's guest room in months. Surprising nice.

Pros: Expedia search
Location: Mall shopping, familiar restaurants. Short distance to Philly
This was my first at Motel 8 and I was surprised that it was decent. Free breakfast, parking and WiFi. Place was clean. I would stay there again.

Would not recommend at this time :(

I feel badly giving such a bad review, as we noticed this hotel was undergoing renovations. Thank goodness they are. The room we were given was clearly in need of much TLC. The carpet was completely worn, the paint on the walls was chipping, the faceplate if the clock was missing, the remote was tapped together, the desk chair was shredded with vinyl pieces dangling off. I would have been embarrassed to sell such a room to my guests, if I had been the hotel manager/ check in receptionist. I hope the renovations go well for this location.

Good hotel stay

I stayed here so that I would have a reasonable drive to the Collingswood Station. My hotel stay here was a good one overall.

Unfairly Charged

Cons: Training the front desk staff how to solve problems. Clean and maintain the lobby area.
Location: I go to this area every two weeks but will never stay at that Super 8. My experience with Expedia and the hotel can only be rated as a minus -10.
Due to a typographical error I was charged for a night that I didn't stay even though I stayed at an affiliated hotel in a different state as I journeyed toward New Jersey. The front desk staff did not refer me to someone to discuss my dispute or give me a number to call. She was pre-occupied with a relative and a child and showed no interest in hearing my side. I travel every two weeks to NJ to visit my 90 year old mother but I will never stay at that property or a Super 8 Hotel. I had a very pleasant stay in Voorhees, NJ at a property that understands that the guest comes first. Oh and on another note the lobby was not clean.

Hi Rich, After speaking with our Sales & Operations Manager at the hotel, I understand that you made an online reservation for two nights through Expedia. Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to third party reservations. Our manager explained that you would need to call Expedia to change the date on your reservation. Additionally, each Super 8 Hotel is independently owned and operated. Therefore, we have no way of knowing that you stayed at another hotel the night before instead of checking in at our location. Per our cancellation policy, guests must cancel (in this case through Expedia) before 6pm the day of arrival. Unfortunately, you did not cancel your reservation, which is why you received the charge. Think about this way, if you reserve a room, then no one else can reserve that room. If you don't show to check in, but don't cancel, we cannot sell that room to someone else because it is saved for you. We understand your frustration and even your anger, however. this is our policy which is very similar to other hotel cancellation policies out there. Thank you.

Inexpensive hotel

Clean hotel but right near road with lots of truck traffic all night.

Patty, Thank you for your valuable feedback. Our hotel is located at Exit 4 of the NJ Turnpike. We are sorry if you were disturbed by trucks exiting the highway at night, however, most guests do not have an issue with noise at our clean and highly rated property.
