Great location, nice room, bad bathroom

Posted Aug 23, 2016
The Wyndham Philadelphia, while located across the Delaware river from Philadelphia in NJ, is in a great central location and a short 15 minute drive to Philly. The room we stayed in looked nice, two queen beds, functioning flat panel TV, and a bathroom that looks like it had been remodeled relatively recently. However, our bath tub did not drain, even after removing the drain. In fact, after turning off the shower, you couldn't hear water draining and there was no perceptible water movement. This is disconcerting for what appears to be an upscale looking hotel. Two separate staff members at the front desk were terse and not very friendly - perhaps because they were the only visible staff member and had to simultaneously answer the phone and checkin/checkout guests. This made for a longer wait than necessary and perhaps contributed to their non-smiling, terse demeanor. Overall, we would probably select another hotel for future stays in the area. We did love the solar car ports in the parking lot. Brilliant money-saving way to make use / extract value from their parking lot.

Nice Room for the Money. But major security issues

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: rooms were nice for the money
Cons: security needs to be improved big time.
Location: Not much to do nearby. 30 minutes from Philly.
Difficulty getting proper accommodations for two beds. Front desk claimed that Expedia sent in request for King bed plus fold-out sofa. Front desk insisted on no availability - "people are reserving rooms now!" It took quick a bit of complaining before we were able to get a room with two beds. That aside the biggest problem was security. The back-door leading to the pool was unlocked during our entire stay. Since there is no key card access to the pool non-hotel guest were using the pool. It was very easy to gain entry to the hotel as well. On a positive note. The room was clean and the room service was very reasonable. Probably would not go back until they fix the security issues.

Everything was nice except the door to the room kept getting stuck and the keys wouldn't work one of the nights.

Hotel in NJ

Nice front desk staff, but hotel was very dated and needs to be upgraded. In terms of cleanliness, I give it a C. We had scuff marks on our bathroom door and the carpets needed a good vacuum in the common areas.

Parfait pour un court séjour

Posted Aug 7, 2016

Hotel room was poorly made and not very nice for the price. No vent in bathroom and pool area was very dirty. Hair clumps in and around pool area. Restaurant within had good food just long wait to be served.

Reasonable Price - Close to Philadelphia

Posted Jul 8, 2016
Location: The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia was close by and a wonderful experience.
We only spent one night in this hotel but found it to be as advertised. We especially appreciated the nice breakfast with great staff included in the rate. We also liked that ease of using the internet with no extra charge. The beds were firm and comfortable. The hotel is a bit older but was very clean and well kept.
