A Little Extra Comfort

Posted Apr 3, 2017
We've stayed here a number of times. We love the gym, pool and jacuzzi. It's such a great way to relax. This trip we upgraded to a room with a kitchenette. I don't think I'd do the again it meant we were on the ground floor with upstairs neighbors, no view and an extra countertop without any untensils or plates it seemed silly. Otherwise a good stay. Always clean, pretty quiet, and walking distance to several restaurants.

Dear Guest ~ Thank you for your honest review of your stay. I do apologize, but you were not in a kitchenette room as there are two of these, each fully stocked with all utensils, and a view of Mt. Shasta. These rooms are only on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I think you were in a courtyard patio room. We hope to see you again soon.

On our way to California from Portland.

Overall good, but dated decor, good place to rest and breakup drive. Good dinner and pool but only offers sit down breakfast with slow service. I'm not sure why continental breakfast is not an option.

I needed a hotel room, not a Tree House!

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Pros: Proximity to my business meetings.
Cons: Remodel & instructed maids to observe the do not disturb sign.
Location: Over priced Best Western that is outdated and noisy.
The room itself was mild and not anything special. I found it weird that the room had a entrance door facing the hotel interior hallway and second door that faced out to the parking lot. The room had paper thin walls and ceilings. The kids above the room would jump off their beds every 5 minutes and then bounce their ball against the wall and floor. I did complain about the noise and the hotel would not offer me anything quieter as they mentioned that they were at full capacity. The noise problem increased for the worse the next morning as the maids ignored the do not disturb sign and would knock on the door every 20 minutes, until I finally opened the door and pointed to the sign… then they still pressed the question that they had seen the sign but wanted to know if I wanted service. I ended up extending my business trip in Shasta, but ended up choosing a Quality Inn in Weed for the rest of the nights. It’s amazing that I found a better room for 40 dollars less than I paid for at the Tree House. Maybe that’s an indication the value just wasn't there for this location.

Dear Bryan, Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. We are sorry to hear about the level of noise during your stay; we do enforce quiet time around 10 pm every night and I will be reminding the front desk staff of this policy. Our second floor rooms are often more quiet and do not feature the exterior door. We hope that you will give us another chance and we can accommodate you in one of these rooms instead. I will also be speaking with our head housekeeper about your do not disturb sign. You may also call the front desk at anytime and we can communicate with housekeeping right away. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. If I can provide any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at 530-926-3101. Mallory Mason Assistant General Manager

Not as good as the past few years

Posted Mar 12, 2017
I have stayed here many times over the past years. The Tesla chargers, the comfortable rooms, the staff, dinning room, the complementary breakfast were wonderful. Much has changed since last year. No more complementary breakfast, I asked for a room near the lobby due to a hip injury (not offered). The staff in the dinning room were wonderful, the food not so much. In the future as I travel up and down I-5 I may continue a bit further for the evening.

Dear Valued Guest ~ Your honest review of our hotel is much appreciated. Our guest's comfort and satisfaction is our #1 concern. We have found that most of our customers are liking the new made to order breakfast rather than the buffet. I do hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with an outstanding stay.
