Hotel conveniently located outside the city.

Posted Feb 1, 2018
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean and well lit.
Cons: Breakfast foods should be fresh, not left over from several days prior.
Location: The hotel is located close to the main highway, but is not within the city proper. It is pretty quiet except for the occasional train passing through.
Check in was standard. The room was a nice size with a king bed that was very comfortable, desk, chest and night stands. There was plenty of light. Despite the TV listings posted in the room showing that ESPN was available, it was not accessible on the TV. Of course, that's the one network we wanted to watch. We called the front desk and someone came to our room, but to no avail. His grasp of English was not good and we're not sure he understood what we were asking. Internet was available and of a good speed, so that pages downloaded quickly. Some breakfast items were stale (bread, bagels, tiny donuts), but there was sufficient variety (three kinds of fruit, several kinds of cold cereal, oatmeal, orange juice, bread, bagels, donuts, peanut butter, jelly) that we were able to have a meal and feel satisfied. There was no provision of decaf coffee or tea, so if you go and are in need of this type of hot drink, I'd suggest you take along your own decaf tea bags or instant coffee.

Location! Price!

NIce place, close to everything but not busy and noisy. Quiet rooms, everything worked. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. This is our choice for weekends at the state park, cozy Mt. Vernon and the nearby casino.

not bad for the price

Posted Sep 29, 2017
Pros: huge bed, nice, fairly large tv with plenty of channels IMO, affordable, free candy at front desk, rare sighting of a drinking fountain in a hotel
Cons: cleanliness: floor felt odd and darkened the feet a bit. one of my channels showed the security cameras in the lobby/hall, not terrible but creepy.
Location: Kind of in the middle of nowhere. Evansville is 10 minutes away so not bad, a lot to do there.. oh! and there's a car dealership next door! FUN!
Not too bad for the price. Better than the Motel 6 in Evansville. The floor (and maybe bed) felt a little dirty. The bottom of my feet were darkened a little bit. The bed was huge! roughly 6' x 6'6". The TV was a pretty good size too with probably about 30-35 channels. Only a ten minute drive from the west side of Evansville. I always notice that almost all hotels don't even have drinking fountains and I have to drink from the sink, but not this one! There was a small spread for breakfast, as advertised, but it was limited (cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, coffee, cookies, etc. Nothing hot.)
