As expected

The room was just fine. Comfortable bed, good staff. My only somewhat negative is that the shower area had a smell of mold. Given the price, it was overall pretty decent.

This unit has no ground level floor. It is either 7 steps up or down. No elevator. Hard for handicap with luggage

Reserved a non smoking room, was given a smoking room with ashtrays, smelled like a stale ashtray and very musty. Was dirty and stained. Asled for non smoking and the staff gave me a blank stare and just said I don't know, didn't even bother to check.

Quiet surroundings

The staff was very courteous. The rooms were clean. The hotel was easy to find. I appreciated the grocery store and gas station near the property.

Ugh

I travel in 4 states for a living and have stayed in all manner of lodging facilities over 40 years. The all time absolute worst is a Days Inn in Lincoln, NE. This place is #2 on my list. There was nearly no water flow in the basin faucet.I found the reason to be an exposed 1/8 inch copper tube leading to it. Then there was the scuzz in the fixture. OMG . The floor covering felt oily. Next year I will be going through Mt Vernon again but I won't be staying here.

Room was fiery and smelled of mildew. Very poor selection for breakfast.

Easy on and off highway

Small town, but appears to be expanding. Area around hotel run down, but hotel itself is ok. Staff very helpful and went out of their way to direct us to near by businesses. Morning breakfast area inadequate for more than 6 people, set up right in small lobby by check-in desk.

Room smell

The hotel itself was good, along with the staff- however our room smelled of mildew and musk. We opened the window to air it out a bit. And the headboard area was quite dusty.

Low end Super 8

Had room on subgrade level, hallway had damp, musty odor, even with de -humidifiers tuning. AC very noisy. Limited breakfast, waffles or toast and cereal. Only positive was several good restaurants within walking distance.
