Perfect LocationPosted Apr 18, 2017
Cons: Make the rooms brighter
Location: Info centre opposite organises Ruins and Mt Vesuvius tours. Restaurant nearby called stuzzico by lucius, one of the best Italian Restaurants ever!!!!
This hotel is in a great location right beside Pompeii Ruins. We stayed one (family of four). You can park opposite the hotel in a public car park for free. The family room was ample big enough, very clean, although slightly dark. Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs, continental, but very good. Overall a great place to stay if you want to visit the ruins and Mt Vesuvius

Close to Pompeii RuinsPosted Apr 14, 2017
Pros: Proximity to Pompeii Ruins
Cons: Room was very dark
Location: Brilliant location
One night stay at the Forum hotel. Was close to ruins and info centre which we used for a Mt Vesuvius Tour. There is a restaurant near by called Stuzzico by Lucius which is excellent - family run business.

Can't Beat the LocationPosted Apr 4, 2017
Pros: The location (see earlier comments). If you visit in the spring time, do not miss the biggest lemons you will ever see growing in the hotel garden !
Stayed just one night in a Luxury Double room ($200 incl tax), which was comfortable but not really luxurious Overlooking the ancient Pompeii area, the hotel is just 50 yards from the Amphitheater entrance (less crowded). Very good breakfast (included in price of room) and extensive free bar snacks during late afternoon and evening. Parking is free but located a couple of hundred yards from the hotel - not really a problem because you will probably leave your car there for your entire stay in Pompeii. Hint: Don't rush your visit to Pompeii. Even a reasonably thorough exploration is well over a day. Staying a night (or more) at the Forum Hotel allows you to immerse yourself in the fascinating history. An unforgettable experience !

Very clean hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast basic but very nice, hotel situated right opposite the ruins. Taxi from airport to the hotel expensive, no bus was available as out of season, overall our stay was very enjoyable, would highly recommend this hotel

Lovely hotel - excellent locationPosted Mar 2, 2017
Pros: Excellent location. Very comfortable room. Good breakfast. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Cons: Quite a few reviews (including mine) refer to the rooms being too warm, even in winter. Hotel could save money and guests would be more comfortable.
Location: We visited ruins - pompeii and herculaneum. Mt Vesuvios, Sorrento and Naples. There is also a modern shopping mall about 20 mins behind the hotel.
A very enjoyable 4 night stay with my daughter, primarily to visit the pompeii ruins. This hotel was literally just across the road from a very quiet entrance to the ruins. A lovely sanctuary to return to after the hustle and bustle of the street or a busy day at the ruins. Entered by an archway off the main street, a delightful garden area awaits with some gorgeous citrus trees, with some of the largest lemons I have ever seen! The reception area is very modern and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was modern and comfortable overlooking the main street which had a small balcony. We did find the room to be very warm, so had to open the balcony doors as could not seem to turn down the thermostat. We did notice a couple of rooms on our floor to be a little old fashioned, but I think they are gradually modernising all rooms to a very high standard. Lovely bathroom fittings and excellent shower - also a glamorous back lit mirror! Breakfast was self service buffet with scrambled eggs and frankfurter style sausage, cheese and sliced meats, great selection of bread, rolls, cereals, croissants and homemade cakes. Also fresh fruit, yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee. Ideally located approx 20 minutes walk to circumvesuviana train line (Sorrento - Naples) which enabled us to travel cheaply to Herculaneum, Sorrento and Naples. Also regular bus route to Vesuvios. Supermarket 5min walk away. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely friendly hotel with really great helpful staff. The hotel is situated opposite the Pompeii ruins and has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Lovely garden perfect for afternoon tea or an after dinner drink. All in all a truly delightful place to stay.
