The morning and evening safaris were amazing. The guides were knowledgeable and each drive offered a new and unique experience. It was difficult finding activities that allowed me to exercise. Swimming is the only choice at this time.

Accomodation dated, Safari Experience exceptional
Accommodation itself is a bit dated at Ravineside Lodge, but clean with amazing views. All staff members were exceptional. Food was good - simple home cooked meals served as a buffet. The safari experience was exceptional. Having been to Kruger, Pillansberg and many others,this game reserve is a level up! Scenic beauty of mountains (leopards, duikers, birds of pray), lakes (hipos, crocodiles) and grasslands (lions, cheetas, elephants and copious amounts of zebras and all species of antelope) coupled with exceptional game rangers knowledge makes this place stand out. I cannot recommend this Entabeni high enough despite the slightly dated accommodation.

+Beautiful nature +Good food +Nice staff +Wildebeests outside the bungalow during the night :) +Nice bungalow -Some leakage in the bungalow ceiling making some water coming in The safari was ok but not the best I have been to. But it's hard to rate safari as it's so much about luck.

Great camping/safari experience! The staff could not be more helpful, caring and positive!! For the money....this place is a HUGE bargain and definitely a place to make life-long memories!!

Amazing experience!
The place is beautiful! The safaries, food and service were beyond incredible! Second time traveling in this part of the country and this place was half the price of my previous experience without feeling that I was cut short at any point.

What a terrible stay. Advertised as weekend away of family activities which was not the case. Had to leave a day early as there was nothing for the kids to do!!!!

Great visit to Entabeni
Entabeni was a wonderful game reserve. The landscape was so much better than most reserves. The food was great and so was the service.

Phenomenal service and food out in a gorgeous game preserve. What else is there to say? Lunch was weakest meal but overall food was very good and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Amos, the Ranger assigned to us was relaxed, knowledgeable and had extremely good tracking skills. Highly recommend staying at Hanglip if planning an Entabeni trip, and hopefully you can get Amos as your guide.

Entabeni - Wildside Safari Camp
The daily early morning (06:30) and afternoon (15:30) game drives were very enjoyable. Being winter they were rather chilly but the blankets provided on the vehicle helped. Our game ranger made a great effort to enable us to see the largest variety of animals possible. We saw cheetah, lion and elephant up close amongst others. The wild animals wandering through the camp were also exiting to see. Staff escorted us between the reception area and our tent after sunset for our safety.

Wir waren in der ravineside lodge. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit beeindruckenden Safari Touren. Das Essen war sehr gut und für uns sehr bekömmlich. Wir würden jederzeit die lodge wieder buchen.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen ...
... trotzdem für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Ordnung. Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Zimmer war großzügig und abends war im Bett die Heizdecke eingeschaltet. Holz für den Kamin wurde aber erst am 2. Abend bereit gestellt. Das Essen im Restaurant war ausreichend, aber nichts Besonderes. Die Pirschfahrten waren gut organisiert und informativ. Abends gab es unterwegs einen Sundowner, morgens aber weder Kaffee noch Tee. Insgesamt hatten wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt von 2 Tagen. Eine Luxuslodge ist bei dem Preis nicht zu erwarten.

Distancia de Joanesburgo: 3 horas de viagem de carro. O servico foi sempre muito bom; a atenção do staff excelente! O Ranger, Obri, muito bom e atencioso conosco, em todos os passeios que fizemos, com o intuito de podermos ver o maior número de animais. Acomodações limpas e confortáveis. Ficamos nas tendas do wildlife. Sem luxo, como era a proposta, mas com toda a comodidade. Andamos bastante para ver os animais, mas vimos leões, elefante, rinoceronte, girafa, zebra, gnus, hipopótamo e varios tipos de antilopes. Foi uma boa experiência.

Mooi maar ‘s winters ook een koud verblijf
We waren hier half juli, dus winter in Zuid-Afrika. We zaten in Ravineside lodge. Verblijf was mooi maar wel vrij koud. Lodges zijn niet goed ingesteld op deze kou, al hadden de bedden wel een elektrisch deken wat het slapen aangenaam maakte. Het park Entabeni wordt door een berg in tweeën gesplitst. Op deze locatie (Ravineside) vind je NIET de big 5, je kunt beter aan de andere kant van de berg zitten. Met een game drive duurt het nl. een half uur voordat je in het gedeelte met de big 5 bent.

Wir hatten einen einzigartigen (zu kurzen) Aufenthalt in der Lodge. Das Team war großartig und hat uns einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt ermöglicht. Die Zimmer waren luxuriös und sehr sauber. Auf den zwei Safaris hat uns unser Ranger zahlreiche Tiere gezeigt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

아프리카의 매력을 200% 누릴 수 있는 숙소
가장 제대로 된 사파리를 즐길 수 있는 곳입니다. 사파리하기 전에는 시원한 리치 쥬스를, 신나게 사파리하고 돌아오면 따뜻한 핫초코를 주는데 너무 행복했어요. 약간 추운 날씨였지만, 롯지에 전기장판이 비치되어 있어서 푹 잘 수 있었어요.

What an adventure!
To come here you have to drive over a very awful road. But when you finally reach the Ravineside lodge the people who work here make you feel at home instantly! We had a very good time! But please: place more signs to reach this lodge!!!

Prima plek om dagelijks twee game drives te doen
De game drives waren geweldig. We hebben zelfs een luipaard gespot! De gids deed zijn best de Big Five op te sporen, maar was helaas niet erg spraakzaam. Het uitzicht op de vlakte met de dieren vanaf het Ravineside gastgebied is prachtig, alleen erg jammer dat dit niet vanuit de overdekte ruimten en het restaurant mogelijk is. De voorkant met het uitzicht op de vlakte wordt helaas volledig in beslaggenomen door kantoorruimten, stafvoorzieningen en (bij-)keukens.

Wir hatten zu Beginn unserer Südafrikarundreise zwei wunderschöne Tage in der Kingfisher Lodge im Entabeni Game Reserve. Tolle Game Drives mit unserem Guide Isaak, der uns sehr viele Tiere und die traumhaft schöne Landschaft zeigte. Unser Bungalow war sehr hübsch eingerichtet und der Blick auf den See und die Berge war hammermäßig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

景色を見ながらのんびりしました。 部屋からも、レセプションからも、ゲームドライブ中も景色を楽しみました。 岩山を背景に見る動物が素敵でした。 ちなみに私たちがサファリをみた感想としては、種類も数もそんなには豊富ではない印象でした。動物をメインで考えていくと物足りないかもしれません。

Verstecktes Hotel im natürlichen Game Park
Das Hotel ist nicht ausgeschildert, extrem schwer zu finden am besten nur mit geländegängigem Fahrzeug zu erreichen. Wenn man mal da ist, wird man dafür ausreichend entschädigt.

lodge in the middle of a so called game reserve
we had an awful guide, a dutchman who was very arrogant and very unpleasant moaning about Holland and its bureaucracy. He did not have anything interesting to tell us and even could not find the animals. this lodge and stay was very expensive and really not worth the price. We would never have booked there if we had known : this is not a 4 star lodge!

nicht zu empfehlen
Wir haben unsere Afrikareise sehr intensiv vorbereitet. Ein Grund dafür war auch, dass wir mit einem Dreijährigen unterwegs waren. Die Lakeside Lodge enttäuschte uns sehr. Hier stimmen Preis und Leistung nicht überein. - die Zimmer sind sehr schön und geräumig, allerdings war unsere Unterkunft kürzlich gestrichen worden und stank. Morgens wachten wir mit Kopfschmerzen auf. Unsere Bitte ein anderes Zimmer zu erhalten wurde erst in der letzten Nacht erfüllt. - das Essen besitzt Kantinencharakter; all inklusive bedeutet: es gibt verkochten Filterkaffee und Tee, alle weiteren Getränke, insbesondere auch Wasser müssen zusätzlich bezahlt werden - die Game Drives finden morgens und nachmittags statt; die Ranger geben eine Menge an Informationen zu den Tieren. Wir haben auch viele Tiere gesehen. Auf der Internetseite von Entabeni wird bezüglich Kindern (Child Policy) angekündigt, dass abhängig von der Verfügbarkeit von Fahrzeugen und der Anzahl der Kinder Ausfahrten nach dem Frühstück organisiert werden. Dies hatten wir uns im Vorfeld auch nochmal per E -Mail bestätigen lassen. Bei unserer Ankunft in Entabeni erhielten wir dann die Information, dass generell mit Kindern unter 6 Jahren keine Game Drives durchgeführt. Hätten wir dies vorher gewusst, hätten wir die Buchung storniert.
