It was quiet, clean with helpful staff. We did not know how to work heat pump, no instruction booklet that we could see. Rang reception, young gentleman came up immediately and all good. There was nothing that we did not 'like'. Will come again.
Great house, plenty of space. Awesome views
Second time I have stayed and thoroughly enjoyed each time
While a bit dated it was more than adequate for our needs and was a larger property than expected
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Kauri Nest. It was peaceful, great host, and amazing view of the city
We really liked the look of it and it’s charm and old ness. The room was nice and it was nice to have the electric blankets. What we did not like was having to check in at the public bar and having to wait for our room.
It was all good, we would recommend it to anyone, very quite, good parking
Great location really close to everything. Room was very spacious had a super comfy bed and loved the full size kitchen and fridge :)
If Mt Manaia is at the top of your itinerary, you'd probably like to learn a bit more about it.
It can be found in Whangarei, a delightful city that's worth your time.
Getting a room at the Comfort Hotel Flames Whangerei, the only hotel near Mt Manaia, means you can stay near the heart of things, as it is only 0.3 miles away.
Accommodation can turn out to be a sizable expense on any trip. Keep your hotel bill down by booking a budget-friendly option, such as the Whangarei Falls Holiday Park, 5 miles away.
Sometimes it feels good to splash out on a getaway, and there's no more enjoyable way to do that than by staying at a lavish hotel. You'll find a selection close by. Whether you drop your bags at the Lodge Bordeaux or the Bella Vista Motel Whangarei, you're bound to be impressed.
Once you're done exploring Mt Manaia follow the smell of coffee to Parua Bay Cafe/Store, a nearby cafe where you can wind down and work out your next destination. Visitors looking for a more filling dining experience should head to Feast India Restaurant and Takeaway, a dining spot that's also not far away. And finally, make your way to Onerahi Tavern. Have a beer or two and chat with your traveling pals.
