Disappointing

This was our final destination on a trip around Germany and after staying in some great hotels we were disappointed with the Movenpick. We had booked 2 double queen size bedrooms but without being told when we checked in, we were given 2 doubles, which was unacceptable for 2 teenage boys. When we complained, we were told the hotel was fully booked but the receptionist managed to find one 2x queen sized but then failed to tell us it was a smoking room and it wreaked of smoke. The beds were really comfortable but the rooms were very hot and the air conditioning was useless. Breakfast was poor. Whilst there was plenty of choice, the hot food was effectively cold. The hotel seemed geared towards business conferences with a large meeting area outside the restaurant and bar that looked very bare and unwelcoming with only a few high tables dotted about. Not the best experience we've ever had although Munster itself is a lovely and we would definitely go back - but to a different hotel. .

Dear Wendy, We are glad to receive a detailed feedback from you. This is the only way it is possible to see what went well at your stay and if there is something we can improve next time. At your trip through Germany you chose to stay at the Mövenpick Hotel Münster. Unfortunately we could not fulfill your expectations regarding the breakfast buffet and your first impression of the conservatory. The buffet consists of fresh and regional products and is known for its diversity. Our warm dishes are always heated. We cannot explain why they were cold at this time and assume that the plates were switched off. Of course this should not happen and we will ensure that it will stay an individual case. If you are not satisfied with something please do not hesitate to contact our employees right away. Concerning the conference rooms and areas we want to give you an easy explanation: They are prepared right before and individually for an event. The equipment and furniture are accommodated in different rooms. There are four rooms for meetings and events in the area you saw. Depending on the room about 2-50 persons can be hosted in these premises. Furthermore the hotel has got other three large halls at the other side. They can capture about 580 guests. For your inconveniences with your room we are very sorry. We always try our best to find a solution to make you feel well and are very sad that the alternative could not comply with your wishes.
