Our room appears to have overlooked a noisy lane with noise from potties unloading (505) though room itself was fine. Window had opaque glass and sign in room asked that we didn't open the window but request a fan. Not sure why but some fresh air would have been nice. Breakfast was faultless with all staff very pleasant,

The location is quite central. Haggis hostel provides you with a home friendly environment in the form of good staff and environment. The free breakfast package adds to the package making it more lucrative. Definitely if you want to stay at a hostel in Edinburgh , Haggis is the place to be.

Short two night break with my daughter. A little bit of Christmas shopping and sightseeing.
Arrived at the hotel early and left out bags at reception. When we arrived back the bags had been taken to our room. The room looked newly refurbished and we could not fault anything. The snacks and drink in the mini fridge were all included so there was no confusion. We had initially asked for a two room by this turned out to not be possible. They instead have us two duvets which was fine.
Breakfast was an excellent experience. The quality of the good was superb.
Our room was on the end floor overlooking a main road but we could barely hear the traffic.

Lovely bed / pillows , very clean and quiet room but shower needs sorting out ! Didn't stay in holder so had to hold it in my hand all the time , also they could not locate our bags when checking out ( was left with porter for safe keeping until we got a taxi to airport ) over all a lovely hotel in a great location bn

The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and room service was excellent.
Our room was large & spacious with city scape views - really comfortable.
The spa facilities were wonderful too .
We are already planning our return trip!

I booked and paid for twin room with city views..when we got there we were at back of hotel looking at a wall and heating ducts. Next day we were moved to front with views but a double bed. Most staff very helpful. Fab breakfast choice. I was given complimentary bottle prosecco for my birthday...would go back.
