Very disappointing

Posted Feb 19, 2013
This was NOT what I was expecting based on the Expedia description and pictures. I was very unhappy with the service (driver pick-up requested and re-confirmed day before but was not there, room was pretty full of mosquitos, window in bathroom broken, etc etc) so made a fuss and, eventually, was moved to their sister hotel which was much better, quieter, cleaner etc. The staff did respond and try to help when I raised my issues with them but it should not have needed to come to that.

OK for one night

The hotel is decent for Indian standards. They let us stay longer (until 3pm) with no extra charge which was really nice of them as we arrived late at night and were really tired.

No not this place again!!!

We stayed in Mumbai two nights before flying on to Myrtle Beach, SC the next evening. Arrived at airport at 7pm, had to wait for over an hour for the hotel driver to show up. We were familiar with the location and booked this hotel looking at the map showing it on Vihar Lake Road, but in reality it is located in JeriMeri on Andheri-Kurla Road, while arriving at Sakinaka junction we were surprised to see driver take a right turn instead of a right towards Vihar lake! The location of the hotel terrified us. However we kept our cool were surprised at the rooms, quite spacious and ooook with cleanliness, comfortable. Like the other guest review, the Hotel is fine for passing through but I wouldn't want to have it be home base for touring Mumbai! And please make correction on the MAP it is absolutely misleading. I booked the hotel to be close to family and friends, to find myself driving thru a mess of a traffic in that stretch.

Once in your room all is well...

We stayed in Mumbai one night before flying on to Delhi the next morning. Arrived at airport at 11pm, had to wait quite a while for the hotel driver to show up. The drive to the hotel was just a little bit short of terrifying. It was our first experience with Indian traffic (by the end of the week it all seemed "normal" but right off the plane late at night it was pretty intense!), the area you pass through to get to the hotel is pretty sketchy and when he pulled up out front we hoped he was kidding. The lobby and people hanging to help you with your luggage are also pretty sketchy (even if they're small backpacks you can handle yourself they insist) . BUT, a pleasant surprise once you make it to your room - very nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Shower with multiple shower heads looked very inviting but unfortunately no hot water. Hotel is fine for passing through but I wouldn't want to have it be home base for touring Mumbai!
