The property is close to metro station and you can easily get transport to tourist places. But that's the only perks of this place. The rooms are super small and the cleanliness is just for the sake. The staff is helpful (the hotel cleaning staff) but the staff at reception is as much rude and unprofessional. If your only aim is to doze off and freshen up then this is fine.

The first room showed to us was full of flies , requested to be moved to another room was told no rooms available spoke to the manager was told would take about half an hour we’re in a hurry so left it to the manager came back from the match at about midnight went to the room no where to hang the clothes or towel was no windows in the room , won’t be recommending to friends or family.

HOTEL STAFF NEEDS TO BE QUIET!
I arrived at midnight in December of 2019 for a one night stay. I'm a white male in my 40s. I just wanted clean sheets and a hot shower for $45 a night. I wasn't expecting a high end hotel service. I just want a quiet clean room to sleep for one night. I did not like the front desk guy asking me so many weird personal questions at the hotel to check in. Room is small of course. No windows. He put me in the ground floor very close to the front desk. I was awakened at 3 am and 4 am due to various activity and sliding wheels and conversation at the front desk. I put on some pants and a shirt and opened my door to see why so much activity at 4 am???!!!!! HOTEL STAFF NEEDS TO BE QUIET! Try not to stay on the 1st floor at all! The hotel is easy enough to find, it's walking distance (about 15 minutes) from central station (main metro station) I wasn't expecting a lot, but I would not stay here again. The front desk staff has to know you can hear every sound coming from them. WHY SO MUCH ACTIVITY AT 4 AM?????

Good location, marina drive around the corner and gateway of india about 30 min walk. Hotel service was good and the included breakfast was nice. Hotel and rooms need renovating, but AC and TV was included.

At check out I was told that credit card swipe machine was not available as it was a Sunday.I had to catch a flight & had to run around to ATMs to withdraw cash to pay to the Hotel. Horrifying experience.

Decent hotel good staff best location
My check in was not all that pleasant, the room I booked wasn't available. Only a much smaller was offered. The staff was polite enough to offer for rooms in alternative hotels. At the end went for the smaller room. It was clean and well maintained. The staff were polite and hosted very well. At the end, all was good and i checked out as a happy customer

Very noisy from both the outside I think the walls are not sound proof. From the inside of the hotel there was movement of furniture at very late sleeping hours anyhow without care. The hygienic standards are far below 3star international standards and the toilet& bathroom are filthy& stinky which obviously come to the room. I had to buy my own disinfectants to scrub the toilet& be able to use the room. I had moved from one hotel after one night and had to bear this one for my 6 nights unfortunately. The best bait would be the Taj in this community

Avoid staying here.
Extremely unpleasant management. Lied about there being a law forbidding an Indian and foreigner staying together even though no such law exists. Extremely judgemental and hostile. Suggest this hotel is avoided.

100% comfortable and friendly hotel
I spend here for a night.My room number was 105.The room was twin bed with ac , led tv, fridge,with attach bathroom with all fittings.They give me this room for single occupancy. Room was so comfortable and spacious.Ac was good. 24 hrs hot water facility. They have in house restraurent, they provide a complimentary breakfast in morning , which is starting from 7.30am.Breakfast quality was very nice.My room was very clean. Also they provide a towel which is very net and clean.All the staff of this hotel is very helpful.Specially the reception staff shivani and surajit,they are very helpful.Hotel owner mr Umar is also very friendly helpful and very charming person. I felt here as like my home.Really hotel fortune is great hotel in mumbai.And this hotel is a good budget hotel in mumbai. This is my first time stay in fortune hotel and my first experience was so nice. I strongly recommened this hotel to all.Thanks fortune for a luxurious stay.

I stayed here for a day in fortune hotel. Really this hotel is very charming and very beautiful.Everything was very nicely decorated and good furnished with all modern items.Rooms are very spacious clean and bathroom was so nice with 24hrs hot water.They provide a very clean bed sheet pillow cover and blanket with very hygenic condition.Room service and house keeping staff always as u want and they were so efficient and always smiling face.Complimentary breakfast is so awesome...aloo parotha...ia so tasty.the hotels have a own restraurent in 5th floor, they also servebreakfast and any meals to room service if anybody dont wantg to go there, but there is no extra charges for room service.I really appreciate about their service, their politeness and their welcome notes.Rooms are very quite and very chilled with air condition and a very beautiful fragnance.My sleep quality was very nice. I recommened this hotel to all of my family friends and my office staff. when i come back to indian again, definitely i will stay here for a comfortable and pleasure stay.

HOTEL FORTUNE a great hospitality
Good points for HOTEL FORTUNE The staff were lovely, willing to help with anything. Excellent location, 10 minutes walk from churchgate station where you can easily get into the North of Mumbai from. It's about a half an hour walk to the gateway of India and colaba causeway so it's very close, and marine drive is lovely for a wander in the evening and to look at the ocean. The rooms are airy and nice and towels are provided. They also have a map of Mumbai if you ask which gives you nearby restaurants and emergency numbers etc. Good stay overall. Good affordable clean rooms. Staff really helpful arrived early and checked me in straight away no problem. Good room service breakfast. i left my bags here all day and were able to take a shower and freshen up before leaving at night. Walking distance to major attractions and train stations. Excellent vegetarian restaurants nearby. Very good atmosphere on Marine Drive at evenings. Breakfast in the room with limited offer. clean smart rooms with AC and very clean bathrooms and amazingly comfy beds!. excellent location too, right on marine drive and totally walkable to all the nice restaurants and india gate. I was not expecting this place to be so nice!! It was the cheapest place we could find and the closest to Colaba so I had quite low expectations. i stayed here for a day really i feel here as homely atmosphere. every thing is very nice to top to bottom.rooms are very very nicely decorated with modern furniture.all staff are very friendly.all rooms are very clean and very hygenic.aircondition is so chilled. they provide a complimentary breakfast in morning its so delicious.hotel owner is so friendly and very simple man. all staff are very polite.house keeping and roomservice staff 24hrs at your door. i strongly recommenned this hotel to all for family and friend. thanks fortune for a nice and pleasure stay.

hotel is good. decent size rooms. on the mail road
I was room no. 202. I was given free upgrade to superior room on request by Mr. Surojit. as I want road facing room. the hotel is really good with decent staff. the room was of decent size. clean and hygenic bathroom with all the amenities. the location is easy and convenient to get taxi's to other areas. for entertainment I had been to metro theatre just opp. to the hotel. nearby restaurants are also good. being a budget traveler I had saved a some penny's without facing trouble from hotel service. the service standard of fortune is amazing....... good for business and budget travelers...

Disgusting Experience
I had booked this hotel (way back in August for a stay in January) only because it was walking distance from the venue for start of the Mumbai Marathon (near CST) for which we had to report by 5 AM on a Sunday. I flew into Mumbai on Saturday and checked into the hotel around 8 PM hoping to get some sleep. I was first shown a small room (and even bathroom) with no windows/ventilation, at the end of a closed corridor. The room looked like a store converted as an afterthought into a room. I requested for a change and was then taken to a room which was stinking of cigarette smoke ( I had specifically requested for non smoking room at the time of booking). I was finally taken to what appeared to be a normal room on the 4th floor but it was not to be. There were loud noises outside the room till around 11 PM as I later figured out that the room was close to their Dining Room/Restaurant with attendants literally running around shouting instructions/carrying room service orders. I thought this would get over after dinner time. What was worse is that after dinner, till around 2 AM, there were loud thumping noises outside the room. I discovered that they were shifting tables and chairs to set them up possibly for Breakfast. I could not sleep as I had to get up in any case by 4 AM and was totally exhausted even before starting the run. In retrospect I think I would have been better off staying at any other hotel, and taking a cab in the morning.

2 sleepless nights in mumbai!
Location is near some key places like the beach, station, market but very noisy and chaotic, hotel hae very basic facilities but rooms didn't have any Windows, toilet was old and shower broken.. Breakfast not eatable..

Great location
Great location, hotel is a bit run down but everyone at front desk and service was very nice. Good hotel if you need somewhere central to sleep and don't plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel room.

Hole in a wall - claustrophobic
If you like a room without windows with corridors where you can barely walk , this may be the place. Extremely unsafe too in case of a fire or such exigency as the building lacks any safety feature at all !! The sheets bathrooms etc were dirty and internet hardly working . Had to change 3 rooms to ensure I get a wifi signal .. Complete no no ..!

I guess it's a case of getting what you pay for. Rooms are very small, you can just about fit a double bed and nothing else. One tip if you are having a shower, you need to switch on the blue switch by the sink, and only then will you get hot water. The room is simple and does the job, cheap accommodation. One plus point us that you get free wifi but sometimes you need to go to reception to get it. In my case I had to sit at the end of my bed for wifi.

Had a great time, as a lone traveler enjoyed my stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a tad small but with AC and Fan and hot water couldn't ask for much more for the price paid.. Would stay again.

Practical Place
The hotel staff was very hospitable. Friendly. Decent hotel for a decent price. Not luxurious. Good for short trip where you plan to be out of the the time and need a central place to rest and freshen up. Easy to get cabs to/from there. Close to historic South Mumbai. I don't understand their name though.

Absolutely Fantastic
Great Hotel. Really friendly staff. Only gave 4/5 on location was simply because we spent most our time in Bandra because of friends so this is only down to us. Its super close to Colaba and Central Station. The staff were amazing they let us check out at 2 when check-out is 12 because we had a coach at 2:30!

Fabulous hotel in the heart of Mumbai!
Extremely cooperative front office staff. I made a reservation with the wrong date, that is, a date later than my intended date of arrival. Around midnight the hotel phoned me and pointed out the mistake. When I reached them, they made the best possible effort to make me comfortable. Location of the hotel is excellent. The staff is sensitive to the needs of their guests.
