About what I expected.

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: It was inexpensive and convenient to the highway.
Cons: It is very old and needs updated. The carpets are worn and stained. The upholstered chair arms and ottoman were worn and stained.
Location: We were only there to stay the night but it is a convenient on/off to the highway. There are lots of gas stations and restaurants nearby.
Our check-in was a little delayed because Andy, who was on duty, was swamped when we got there with phone calls and another traveler needing his key-card reprogrammed. Andy was courteous and tried hard to deal with the seemingly difficult customer on the phone and serve the ones in front of him at the same time. I felt bad for him. Otherwise our check-in went smoothly. The room was simple; no amenities other than a bar of soap so make sure you bring your own toiletries. The king-size bed was reasonably comfortable, the sheets were clean and the shower was clean and that was really all we were concerned about. It is not a destination hotel. But for someone who only needs a comfortable, clean bed and a place to take a shower, it was fine. The noise level might have been a problem if we weren't so tired from traveling all day. You could hear all the noise in the hall (and there was lots of people being loud early in the evening) and you could hear the traffic from the highway. Check out was simple. There was a machine that dispensed coffee located in the lobby but I didn't try that. The hot tub had a sign that said out of service but the pool was being used by some families and looked very clean. The room had a microwave and refrigerator.

Not worth the price paid

Pros: The staff was not unpleasant. That's about the only thing positive.
Cons: We were in room 214. The sheets on the bed closest to the door had writing on them- the room was not clean.

Clean and spacious.

Posted Sep 19, 2016
We did not use the pool or explore beyond our room, but the room was surprisingly neat and clean. I was very, very, pleased. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The pillows were a bit lacking is the only negative comment. There were two pillows per double bed which was fine for one person because they could use both pillows to stack into one actual pillow. I would stay at this hotel again.

The Good; The Bad; The Missing

Posted Sep 6, 2016 on Hotels
The lobby had a distinctly smokey (cigarette) smell. Our room also had overtones of smoke. There was no hair dryer. The room was clean, and the bed well-made and attractive. Clerk at the desk was polite, attentive and efficient.

Back to School

It was nice to relax getting our daughter back to school I was disappointed that someone kept propping open a security door with a rock, does not lend to a sense of security.
