Dirty and smelly
Posted Sep 18, 2016 on Hotels
Check in was smooth but that's about it. Room was not cleaned thoroughly and there was a very unpleasant smell as soon as I opened the door which affected the quality of sleep for the entire stay. When I brought up the smell issue at the reception, I was told that it's against company policy to switch rooms; they just sent a housekeeper to spray some air freshener in the room - which didn't cover the smell. Toilet seat had a few small stains on it and there was dust and garbage on the floor underneath the furniture.
On the positive side, the wifi speed was good and the hotel was located within 5 minutes walk from the central station. It is also within 5 minutes walk from the Lidl supermarket. But if I were to come back to Munich, I'd probably choose another hotel.
