Not on hot summer days
I've got to this hotel on a hot summer afternoon to find out that my room faced the sunny side and was hot as hell, no air conditioning, and in addition I couldnt open the winfow because of a construction right across tbe hotel with noise and dust. The hotel staff was not cooperating. I asked to cancel my room, because I didnt stay there, but they charged my credit card. I moved to another hotel anyway.

Very nice hotel, great location.
A very nice hotel in a convenient location. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. A short walk from the metro (about 100m or so), which is just a few stops from central Munich. The local area is quiet. There are some nice bars / restaurants nearby, a convenience store and a small supermarket. The Englischer Garten (a huge park) is a short walk away. I stayed during Oktoberfest, so it was quite expensive at this time, but this is normal for Munich. Book early if you visit during this time. The wifi connection was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.

Nice 3 star option
A nice little hotel in a quiet but close to the action area. I would stay here again. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It is old fashioned rather than trendy, but that isn't important. My only problems were that there weren't many English language channels on TV, and the wifi in the rooms was a bit irritating - they would only let you have one device in use at any time, and so I was forced to keep putting the access code in.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a perfect location easy to get everywhere - walking distance to sights and subway very close and easy to get to the conference center. Weather was unusually warm and does not have air conditioning, but has a window and patio door that when opened was comfortable.

Hotel has the perfect location.
Couldn't ask for a better location, only 2 stops on the U-Bahn and walking distance to many sights. Hotel is a little dated, but makes up for this with 24 hour reception, free wi-fi, great breakfast and location location location.

The room was spacious and clean. The mattress was very firm. The location was great for walking to many sights. It has an elevator as well as a staircase. The parking is only a ramp and limited. They encourage street parking that costs 6 euro per day. a hearty German breakfast is served buffet style in a very pleasant room.

A little gem
Hotel is well located in a quiet part of town - easy to get to by public transport and within 15 minute walk of the city centre. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and quiet (although there was the occasional odd plumbing noise). Buffet breakfast offered a reasonable choice in pleasant surroundings, although space is bit limited which might cause problems when the hotel is busy. I was glad to find that, contrary to the info on its website, the hotel does not charge for wifi. If I return to Munich, I shall almost certainly use this hotel again.

lovely neighborhood, older but well kept comfort
very lovely neighborhood, close to a charming host of neighborhood cafes on a quiet street but close to town center. nice staff (especially the night gentleman), and lovely breakfast room that feels like a bed and breakfast. hotel is slightly older, but well maintained and larger than newer ones. we had our own large balcony. no free wifi stinks, but you have a laptop in lobby to share.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Domus. The location and room were very good. The internet connection, however, was spotty at best. They have nerve charging 5 Euros a day for such a poor "amenity."

Close but not too close
This hotel is a hidden gem. It is a close walk to the Old Town and the English Garden. The neighborhood has several very nice restaurants. We had rain, and the room where they have breakfast just out to the garden. It was a lovely way to start the day hear the rain fall on the rooftop.

Walkable City
This is the second time we have stayed at the Domus. We love the location close to the elegant Maximilian Strasse, etc. The Lehel neighborhood is one of the most charming of the Munich inner city, the U Bahn only steps away. Love the market day at the St. Anna Platz and the many small restaurants close by.

Easy stumble back from Hofbrauhaus

Comfortable hotel walkable from main tourist areas
Domus Hotel was a comfortable stay. Very good complimentary breakfast with friendly staff (eggs, large meat/cheese spread, cereals, fresh fruit changing each day). Rooms were a bit small but bed was comfortable and we had a little desk and chair for space. We also got a balcony on the top floor with lots of light shining in. The location (near the Lehel U-bahn stop) was a 15-20 minute walk from the main tourist area / Marienplatz, so not in the heart of downtown but pretty close. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. We would stay here again.

Quiet hotel one minute walk to subway.
We booked our room for the second night of our Oktoberfest trip. The hotel is in a quiet and nice part of town yet took us less than 10 minutes to the festivities. There's a subway station less than a minute walk which connects you HBF in 5-10 minutes. The staff was polite and helpful and allowed us leave our bags in a closet since arrived a few hours before check in time. The room was clean and great for a one night's stay.

Great budget choice
I stayed at the Hotel Domus with a group of friends for 3 nights, as we wanted somewhere cheap but cheerful that wasn't too far out of the centre. This hotel certainly fit the bill, as it was minutes from the English garden and only around 10-15 minutes to the old town and the major sights. Whilst the entrance to the hotel is slightly dated, the rooms themselves were actually more modern, comfy and clean. Beds were comfy, although two twins pushed together rather than genuine doubles and the shower rooms had obviously been recently updated. My room overlooked the road a the front of the hotel, and whilst the road wasn't particularly noisy, I'd suggest light sleepers request a room overlooking the back of the hotel. Service at the hotel was great, the reception staff very helpful and the waiting staff in the breakfast room equally pleasant. Breakfast was a good continental selection, although it would have been nice to have more hot food options and perhaps some pastries in addition to the meat, eggs, cheese bread and cereal. Wi-Fi was available for a small charge, and seemed to work reliably, although in modern times I would have thought this would be included in the room rate (but that's a common bug-bear I have with many hotels!). All in all a very pleasant stay and highly recommended for anyone for a base for a long weekend in Munich.

Central location and intimate rooms.
We had a great experience in Prague and loved our stay at the Leonardo. The room may have been small but was very cute. The wifi is free and easy to access. The breakfast was free and very good with many staff people there to help. We will definately return.

Nice friendly hotel in a good location.
The hotel is in a good location; just a little bit out of central Munich, but only around 10-15 minute walk from the main square/ shopping area. The room that we had was very clean and spacious and had a small balcony. It was also very quiet. The staff were very amenable and friendly.

I stayed for 2 1/2 days in this pleasant hotel with a mostly pleasant staff (some more than others). My review would have been more positive without the hassle with access to the Internet where you have to pay extra per day. It it the principle of the thing; just include access in the price of the room!

Nice Hotel near the English Gardens
My wife and I spent two nights at the Domus Hotel. We had a pleasant study. It is well located. The U-Bahn is at the doorstep and many of the places to see in Munchen like the English Gardens, Odeonplatz and Marien Platz are in walking distance. Decent Breakfast

We were in Munich for only about eighteen hours and need an overnight hotel in town. Superior room was large. There were no toiletries usually found in hotel barhrooms.

Once we had our room sorted out we had a most enjoyable stay at The Domus. We would like to suggest tea/ coffee making facilities would be appreciated by visitors. The only other thing which concerned us was the price of 75 euros charged to take us to the airport. Even the receptionist would be surprised by this amount as she suggested it would be around 50 euros. Quite a difference. Thank you from the Fishers.

Perfect location
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. Its location in the Lehel district is perfect. It is a few steps from the subway and a five minute walk to the center of the old City. It is an older hotel, very well kept and well run. The breakfast is very nice. It is a great value for Munich.

Quiet and convenient!
Quaint little hotel away from the city center. We liked the quiet neighborhood feel away from the tourist spots, but yet close enough that we could walk to the market, Hofbrauhaus and shopping in the center of Munich. Taking a walk through the English Gardens is a must. Continental breakfast at the hotel was quite nice and provided a charming setting to start your day. We reserved a larger room with double bed, so there was room to relax. We also liked the little balcony to watch over the neighborhood street. Everyone was extremely nice. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location, decent hotel
The hotel alright but not very fancy or comfortable. Wifi wasn't free, 5 euro per day, and it only worked on one device at a time. They didn't mention anything about that when we signed up, but we found out once we both tried to use our tablets. It was raining but they only let us use one hotel umbrella, and only after carefully noting what room we were in in case we decided to steal it. It was in a nice part of town, and only a 15 min walk to Merianplatz though, so that's good. Breakfast was also good, and free.

Thank you for choosing Hotel Domus and your Review. The w-lan code is per room and usually we have no Problems. We can not know by check in, with how many devices guests are working, unless the receptionist will be asked. We have a certain number of umbrellas to borrow, in this case we had only 1 umbrella left, because of rainy weather an a lot of guests asked for umbrellas. Very sorry!! Guests can also buy an umbrella for less Money. ( Euro 5,00) We make a note for return and would like to clarify that we do not allege our guests dishonest motives.

Good Location for visiting central Munich
Nice little hotel tucked away on a quiet street. Staff was friendly. It was an easy walk to the sights in central Munich. The rooms were reasonably sized for a hotel in the center of the city. The breakfast was fine. We were lucky and found a parking spot just across the street from the entrance. There is a small area that you can pull into to unload if parking along the street is not readily open.

The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was varied and high quality. The location is very close to the metro, about 2km from the train station, and a short walk to the Hofbrauhaus and Marienplatz. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Pleasant little hotel in a good location
The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but very close to shopping, the English Garden and Munich's major attractions. Although it is an unattractive building from the outside, inside there is a lovely breakfast room overlooking a pretty garden. Front desk staff are helpful and speak good English. Buffet breakfast is excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Very nice neighborhood boutique hotel...
Great little hotel for the price. Would definitely stay again. Would suggest they update lobby decor and put something on the walls in rooms...absolutely bare! Not a photo or painting or anything anywhere! Not a big deal but would brighten up the rather sparse but clean rooms. Bathroom newly remodeled and nice. Breakfast was included which was great but they could be a little more attentive to restocking the buffet. 2 out of 3 days there were on eggs left and I waited almost 20 minutes before just finishing my coffee, juice, cold cuts and fruit and left. Didn't feel like making a thing out of it but I was frustrated. The attendant didn't check one time to see it was empty after at least 7 or 8 people checked, saw it was empty, and moved on. I would definitely stay again as the location and price were very good and the staff very friendly. Just needs a little attention here and there. MW
