Wonderful staff, great location

Posted Oct 7, 2016
Pros: One of the most pleasant pleasant places we have stayed, with a wide choice fir breakfast and friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Just be aware that the rooms are Euro size, and big enough if you travel light to medium. The shower is also compact.
Location: Use the Donnersbrucke strasse train station, 3 minute walk up the overpass, and avoid the big main train station. The tram is about 2 mins away.

Adorable hotel

Posted Sep 19, 2016
Location: Walking distance to Augustiner brewery and Oktoberfest grounds, a little further to the main train station.
This is a traditional German hotel, which is both good and bad, depending on your expectations. You won't find miniature bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. in the bathrooms, big fluffy towels, robes, and slippers, huge feather pillows, air conditioning... leave these expectations in the states. What you will find is a quaint hotel with traditional décor, clean rooms, and super friendly staff. Free parking (amazing!) and free WiFi, breakfast available for 10 euro, and a small bar with a tap of Augustiner beer always at the ready. Everything you need, nothing you don't. I would definitely stay here again. *Not handicap accessible

Quaint and friendly but watch out for street noise

Posted Sep 16, 2016 on Hotels
Cozy family run hotel located convenient to tram and airport train stop. Friendly staff and excellent moderate cost breakfast made it feel like a BnB. Quaint pine bar area nice for a local beer in the afternoon. Avoid street side room in warm weather due to street noise and no air conditioning. Fan kept room ok at night in our courtroom facing room.

Nice inexpensive hotel.

The hotel staff were friendly and the price was good. The location is on the tram and so it is a good base for inexpensive travel.

At Home at Haun Hotel

Posted Jun 7, 2016 on Hotels
What makes Haun Hotel so special are both the hotel itself and the people that run it. It is a family run business and although only there a few days, felt very at home there. The design of the hotel is very Bavarian and charming.

Small but quaint Hotel

Nice Bavarian hotel. Virgil was an awesome bartender. Would go back there just to have an Augustiner while having an intellectual conversation.

Very satisfactory for the price

Very friendly staff, authentic bavarian theme. Stairwell is in need of a bit of a refurb but in general, for the price, it was very satisfactory.

Hotel was great but parking was limited (had to park on the street with a hotel supplied pass). A number of good restaurants in the area but a decent length walk into central Munich.
