Top notch hotel

Outstanding hotel, great location on the finest street in Munich. Close to the train station and walking distance to many attractions, shopping and eating. Fabulous lobby.

very good hotel with professional hospitality

Pros: staff, food,
Cons: .... breakfast was a bit expensive..?
Location: it is situated almost next to the national opera house, in the middle of good shopping street. only 5 mins walk to the old town are.
I travel around and stay many hotels - some of them are best ranked hotels in the area. and Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski München is one of them, actually their professional hospitality was remarkable. I was ill wen I arrived the hotel - asked them to change rooms with the one with bath tub - they changed immediately. They concerned my throat and brought me extra bags of herb teas. I thought there might be ticks, they replaced the bed mat immediately. Sometimes there are some difficulties with any hotels, but the important thing is how they react those challenges, and felt their deep hospitality with everything.

This is the place to stay

We were impressed with this hotel. A grand, old hotel with a gorgeous historic lobby and updated, modern room. The staff was too notch throughout the entire experience. One recommendation: request a room on a high floor. We were in 148 and listened to the bass of a nightclub for several hours. Fortunately the bass was subtle and not too loud, otherwise we would have requested a room change.

Tired, oddities & smoke-filled hallways

Location is excellent, walking distance to everything you want to see. Enjoyed the traditional lobby with open lounge, a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a cocktail or coffee. However as soon as you get off the elevator the impression changes. A miss-mash of poor, odd design, out of sync and worn-out. The restaurant area is the same. A miss-mash of odd designs. And though we were on smoke-free floor, the hallways were perpetually filled with cigarette smoke and the strong odor of nicotine. When inquiring - they said they have a smoking floor - the first floor. Incredibly poor planning. Our room was newly renovated and nicely appointed. However there is no sound proofing between the two adjoining rooms. We had to call the front desk twice up until midnight to complain as we had an early morning flight. In the end, little sleep. And all the hotel gave us was two free cups of coffee.

Cons: There is nothing we can recall that we did not like about this hotel and staff.
Location: The location of this Kempinski was great, close to shopping and good restaurants.

Best breakfast in Germany! The buffet is amazing with so many choices and drinks. Mimosas, fresh squeezed juices, anything you want!

This hotel is in a good spot within Munich. Walking distance to great shopping streets and town centres. The hotel itself is simply beautiful
