All you need is the Sofitel Munich

1. Very cool 2. Pretty staff and guests 3. It has everything a top hotel needs 4. Great location 5. I felt like I was a resort This place is a must stay if visiting Munich!

Two Nights In Munich

Pros: Our room was very nice, quiet and clean. The overall feel of the hotel was classy.
Cons: ICE, ICE and MORE ICE. Yes, we are crazy Americans but you should know by now we LOVE ICE. NO ICE MACHINE. Asked for ice and they said room service.
Location: Great location. Only a few blocks up to the pedestrian zone and the historic Glockenspiel. Very nice restaurants in the area as well as the main train
Great location. Friendly staff it was a great experience overall . Wish we had booked a few more nights. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary while there and would have loved to have stayed longer.

As expected from this strong brand

Pros: Well presented, good staff
Cons: The immediate environment around the hotel however this is not the hotels responsibility
Location: You can walk to all museums and the old town quite easily from the hotel
Everything was good and as expected from the hotel. The location by the station meant there was a mixed crowd of people in the area and walking around that area was not always comfortable with numerous beggars.

Nice hotel in the city centre

Pros: The spa is amazing, staff is very helpful. We had a great time in the pool; my 9 year old was very impressed! Breakfast was fantastic - great selectio
Cons: The bedroom lighting is very dark ; Some of the staff was most helpful other lacked in hospitality
Location: city centre location, all of the main shopping street is walking distance away (if you are not with small children). The BMW museum is close by.
Great hotel next to the central train station... in the evening it did not feel very safe to walk outside in the station area direction. Our bedroom was spacious, but the lighting was inefficient (if you do not like to be in a dimly light room). Housekeeping was the most helpful and accommodation. When we arrived to the hotel only 1 check-in desk was open.. and it was occupied by someone with a complex enquiry; we had to wait for a considerable time before we were able check-in.

Nice But Think Twice

Pros: Clean, comfortable, and modern.
Cons: Some hotel staff could work on their customer relationship skills.
Location: Railway and subway nearby as well as short walk to sightseeing, restaurants, and shopping.
The Sofitel in Munich is a lovely hotel and very clean and modern. That it's located just one block from the railway station is a plus, however, that can also be negative as well. We found that several blocks near to the hotel are seedy, with an abundance of of beggars, discount shops, and is a very unsightly atmosphere. At the hotel we asked that a small leak over our bathroom sink be fixed. It never was attended to in the 4 days we were staying there. Not too much of a problem so we didn't request a room change. The people working the entrance to the hotel were absent of social graces. Not once did they hold the non-revolving door for us or think to wish us a pleasant day. Hotel staff were mostly very nice, except when we were exchanging our money for euros. The reception staff worker seemed somewhat annoyed with us when I asked to count our money a second time. Overall, I think the hotel was very comfortable and especially good of you need to get somewhere by using the nearby train station or subway.

Really strange room

Pros: People were nice betsy
This is a wierd hotel. No view. Lights are difficult to figure out. Neither tv nor safe worked. A/C was funky. Bed was two twins pushed together and made as two, not a king.

Luxury experience in the heart of Munich

This is a top 5-star hotel. Over the top bathroom amenities, super quiet, superb spa. Mattress maybe a bit too soft and check in/out could be a tad faster are the only little minuses on a fantastic 4-day experience, location excellent with transportation via metro and train
