Comfortable hotel

Pros: Great staff, clean, relatively late checkout time.
Location: Munich
For some reason they didn't have our reservation at first, which at 1AM after a plane ride with my son sleeping in my arms wasn't what I wanted to hear, but after we showed them the Expedia print out, they quickly got us a room and brought us a baby bed before we even got to the room, and gave us the stuff for the 2nd adult (pillow, towel, etc) as we arrived at the room and everything seemed to be sorted overnight as we had no issues checking out. Kudos to the staff for working that out quickly. Everything was as you'd expect a good hotel to be, showers, bed, etc, all great. The comfortable beds and late checkout time (noon) was extremely welcomed so we could catch up on sleep and be ready for a bit of a drive the next day.

Mercure hotels usually excellent place to stay.

Cons: Real tea cups. Longer lead on kettle.
Location: Very quiet area. Italian restaurant close by.
Friendly welcome. Large clean comfortable room. Comfy beds. No problems with free wifi and safe.Cardboard cups for brews!! Short cord on kettle didn't reach socket behind it had to boil it on bedside table. Reception staff very helpful. Didn't use the bar but plenty of other people did. Good Italian restaurant 2 minutes away. Bit further out from center than we thought though there is a taxi rank just across the road.

While we were at the hotel for the exhibition in Munich it was very cold. But the heat in the room did not work properly. We received from the hotel an alternative heating device after two days of repair attempts.

There for the "Fest"

Pros: Clean, new, good parking...nice park for running.
Cons: Not much of anything.
We booked late for Oktoberfest and this facility was open. I have stayed at Mecure in France and England...they are always nice. We took the 190 or 191 bus to MaxWeber station and then took either U5, or a combination of U4/U6 subway. The time was roughly 45min. Subway was 10-15min of that. So it's not like being in the city, but it was a very nice hotel, great park for running in the morning, great staff of employees, and I think it worked out just fine.

Oktoberfest hotel

Comfortable room with good facilities but no extra pillows were available when requested. If arriving on public transport, it's worth having researched how to get to the hotel from the bus stop - it's not far but also it's not visible from the bus stop. No evening food at the hotel so you will need to eat elsewhere - which means driving or catching the bus.
