Nice hotel in the centre of Mercia. All good apart from too expensive to park(23E/night) and too expensive for a do to stay(20E/night). Apart from this very good location and helpful staff.

Long weekend trip
This was our 3rd time staying here and there’s likely been a change of management since June 2022. Generally still great - clean, blackout curtains, comfy bed, friendly staff. We had one minor issue with our door not being able to lock properly. Reception was informed twice, once we even spoke with the on-site caretaker but they ended up not fixing the door and we had to find a way to make sure it was securely locked. There were multiple parties happening at the time of our stay so they may have been particularly busy. The best thing is how close the hotel is from the large department store.

Great location and service
The hotel location was convenient and within walking distance with respect to restaurants and points of interest in Murcia. Breakfast provided a good selection of food and pastries, however, restaurant choices were not optimal. Hotel was located next to a shopping mall that had a great grocery store in it. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

The hotel feels tired. Floors are scuffed, rust in the bath. However ttaff were very kind and the location is great.

Nice hotel but a/c in rooms are centralized with no option to adjust temperature. For us it was somewhat hot but we managed since we kept the windows open at night. Other than that, nice stay and close to the historic sites.

Good chain of hotels but this one needs facelift
NH has a good chain of hotels. The receptionist was pleasant and smiling. An early check in. Good lifts to the room. The light in the hallway wasn't working. Very difficult to see slot to insert room key. Had to use torch on phone. Room a good size. Nice view of outside area. Bright room. The furniture a little chipped. Comfortable armchair. Small table. I had only booked one night because I wasn't sure whether I would get a walk-in shower. It seems that the hotel only provides combination bath tub and shower. It's so dated. Uncomfortable. No grab bar. The shower only provides a weak flow of water. Definitely not a power shower. Glad I only booked for one night. Comfortable bed and decent air conditioning. Quiet. Safe neighborhood. Near amenities eg el corte Ingles department store. I understand that the hotel is going to undergo a modernization soon.

So much orange!!
The room was dark and the walls were an orange coloured panelling that had a glossy finish. The furniture was black and shabby and had seen better days. The bathroom was OK except for the line of dirt between the walls and the floor. However, the hairdryer was the best that I've ever had in a hotel but this didn't make up for the overall shortcomings of the room. The staff were very efficient and helpful, and the breakfast was ok. The restaurant was also very, very orange! Could have been a retro look but I got the impression that it was just outdated and in need of refurbishment. Wouldn't want to stay there again.

Murcia Trip NH Amistad Hotel
This hotel is in a perfect location to explore Murcia city. You can walk to the old part easily and visit the Cathedral. You can have meals in the delightful plazas. Tapas are readily available at most restaurants and must be sampled. Our only bug bear with the hotel was that the air conditioning didn't work and the hotel was boiling. When we opened the windows the traffic noise and the turning out of a nearby club forced us to close them in the early hours of the morning - so not very restful. On the whole we did enjoy our stay in Murcia.

Nice hotel close to the center. Has it's own parking which is a plus if you come with a car. Clean room, a little on the small size, but for Europe it is quite spacious. The free Wi-Fi was good for e-mail and browsing the internet. The staff was very accommodating.

Fabulous stay!
We booked this hotel for its location and were not disappointed! We walked everywhere- less than 15 minutes to the Cathedral, 10 minutes to the main Grand Via and centre of town with many restaurants and shops, 5 minutes to the nearest branch of Zara and 1 minute to Corte Ingles Department Store! We arrived at Murcia Del Carmen train station and a taxi to the hotel was just under 10 euros. We arrived at 10pm on Friday night and went to our room. I am very anti-smoking and had checked beforehand that this hotel is 100% non-smoking. Unfortunately, I could smell smoke quite strongly in the corridor to our room. This isn’t really the hotel’s fault - I presume it was a guest smoking illegally in their room. Anyway, the girl on reception immediately allocated us a room on another floor, which was perfect. Very well dealt with. We then ordered pasta and a glass of wine room service - delivered promptly, courteously and well presented! Breakfast was very good. A good selection of fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, fresh juices, coffee. There was a silver dish of sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs which I did not try. There was a sign on our table saying we could ask for eggs to be cooked to order. We both ordered omelettes, which were delicious! We ate in the town on the Saturday - highly highly recommend La Mary Restaurant! We left on Sunday at 1pm. Checkout was at 12 o’clock, but we were told by Reception that it was no problem to keep the room until 1pm.
