The lobby was still under construction for renovation, and the rooms recently had been redone. The bed had a new, firm mattress and was very comfortable. The couch also was new and very firm and comfortable. The room was very spacious and had a tall mini-fridge that kept our food and even our blue ice items cold, which was a first for us with any mini-fridge. The only minor drawback was that if you let the door shut on its own, it would close with a loud bang, and this happened occasionally with other guests letting the door slam shut. Other than that, this was a real gem of a motel at a very reasonable price, right off of I-24 for quick travel. Running the a/c and/or fan helped keep interstate traffic noise to a minimum. We both slept very well, and I was able to sleep without earplugs (I almost always have to sleep with earplugs at motels). The staff also was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable, reasonably priced night's stay that is conveniently located.

Under renovations

Posted Aug 22, 2017 on Orbitz
This hotel is currently under renovations which has left the indoor pool out of service. They are also working on the check in area. This leaves large areas of the hotel to be eye sores. The room itself was nice and clean. It appears to have recently been renovated. Some of the fit and finish is lacking. They have a curved shower bar, which ordinarily is nice, but because of the way the bathroom door opens they recessed the bar into the shower which leaves little room. They need to replace it with a straight shower bar so you're not smothered by the shower curtain. The location is great. There are tons of restaurants and shopping around. The complimentary breakfast was above average. Wish the place was finished, but was well worth the price. If I'm in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Good for the price

Posted Aug 8, 2017 on Hotels
Remodeling in the entry was a message sure they are working quickly to get it fixed - so it was ok. But the room was large and the beds comfy. There was something all over the carpet. But for the price it was a good deal. I would stay again.

Diamond in Tennessee

Posted Aug 2, 2017 on Hotels
What a great surprise to find in the middle of Tennessee! This Day's Inn is in the process of renovation. My room was huge, with high ceiling, firm beds, well-designed bathroom, and new fridge and TV. I'm happy to recommend this as a stop to any traveler.

messy construction and poor wifi

Posted Jul 30, 2017
had been there before so was very disappointed at the difference - should have done my due diligence and I would have seen they have been renovating for over a year - dusty mess everywhere in the lobby - the pool not open - breakfast was only so-so - front desk staff left much to be desired - wifi took forever to connect and then would just drop you - no 'do not disturb' card in the room so we were woken up twice. On the plus side the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Everything worked, the TV, air conditioning, fridge and microwave. The price was great and so made up a little for the issues. Overall though not a great stay this time. There are plenty of reasonable hotels in Murfreesboro so we will probably not go to this one again.

construction

Posted Jul 16, 2017
It would have been nice to know they were under construction. There was no lobby. Were working off a card table as a front desk and "breakfast area" was shoved in a corner with everyone sitting on top of each other. Looked like a war zone. Rooms were new and nice.
