The room we were eventually put in was a very clean and large suite, with the usual amenities--comfortable, quiet, and had efficient A/C. We were quite pleased with the room. The price of the room/hotel may seem a bit pricey, but it is actually a reasonable price for Muscat.
The room comes with a free continental breakfast, but this reviewer recommends that you either plan on eating elsewhere or bring your own food (there is a small fridge in the room), as the breakfast consisted of white bread toast, instant coffee, reheated baked beans, and some form of eggs.
We had a minor dispute with the staff about the room size (Expedia indicated a king-size, while we were given a double), but the manager accommodated us and moved us to a king-size. Expedia's website has also been corrected. Expedia also indicated check in as early as 6am, but the hotel staff insisted on charging us a half-night for such an early check-in (our flight arrived at 4am), which is unacceptable, but we paid it under protest. Expedia's website now shows 10am, but please endeavour to check all the details and ensure the hotel honours them. I will note that the manager did follow up with us after to apologize for our inconvenience.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk to the beach, is right beside another hotel (Ramee Guestline) with a popular bar, and down the hill from the Crowne Plaza. Cabdrivers get it confused with the similarly-named Beach Hotel in the Qurum area which is not near this hotel
