Sham3 hotel room lacked consistence. First night I had my white robe, n3xt day it was taken away and no replacement. Room was freezing when i arrived and took hours to heat. No5 happy

Had a great stay at the Marriott. My daughter was ill one night and the staff could do more to help, they also followed the day after. It made life so much easier. Breakfast was great too

Excellent overall experience. Room was clean and quiet with usual standards of comfort expected in a Marriott. Hotel is very well located. Excellent service and staff super friendly and helpful: we used the concierge services several times and they provided good restaurant suggestions and overall tourist info on attractions. We took the breakfast included option and it was well worth it. The buffet menu was impressive and we also had access to all à la carte options including cappuccino, omelettes etc. Only element that was annoying to me is that they collect a 200 euros deposit on credit card. Even if we get full amount credited at departure we do end up paying exchange rates fees. Other hotels simply ask for credit card that they will use only when charges need to be collected at the end of your stay.

We found the hotel just a little bit too far from the centre of the main attractions. The floor of the room hadn’t been cleaned properly before we arrived with stains initially. The staff were professional and helpful. It’s very annoying that you had to use your room key to use the lift to get to your floor. This was made worse when the card failed to work and we had to keep repair. There were three of us but we were only given two keys. The Wi-fi was also a rip off and cost £10 per day. Why do you have to pay for such a simple everyday service. Not sure I would recommend this hotel or stay there again

I wasn't expecting to receive a room with such a beautiful view of the streets of Amsterdam! I was also impressed with the size of the room, the size and elegance of the bathroom, and the comfortable furnishings.

Only a few minutes walk from van gogh museum and around 20 minutes into the centre. Hotel was absolutely lovely. One of the receptionists asked for our feedback on the hotel as they had only refurbished it within the last year. Suffice to say the hotel was very modern, rooms were nice and the service was spot on. Cant really find a fault to be perfectly honest. Enjoyed my stay and would come back again.

This is my usual hotel I stay in Amsterdam. Room allocated was very cold, air conditioning not working correctly, had to turn it off to stop cold air been pumped into room, along with noise. Curtains in room not fitting correctly, hence more cold and also spot light beeping in to room all night. Hotel should consider better double glazing as street noise easily heard at night. Too many staff in restaurant, but not working as a team and attention to guests in restaurant. I put my food order in both for dinner and breakfast and noted other people who arrived well after me got served. My food at dinner was cool given it was left for some time with kitchen before served. Staff kept walking by dish, so eventually chef brought it out! Very poor indeed and disappointing. Unlikely to eat there again and staff again. Better hotels at same price range.

If you want to stay in the heart of the city — a stone’s throw from the best museums and sights that Amsterdam has to offer, a room at this Marriott will certainly fit the bill. A one minute walk from the park, 5 minutes from MOCO, Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh and steps from the canal, this hotel is wonderfully located. Staff are friendly and unflaggingly helpful and the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
