"Fantastic hotel right outside of town"
The hotel has a beautiful lobby, with a patio and pool that look out over Chora and the harbor. The rooms themselves are comfortable and pleasant, albeit nothing spectacular. The staff are very accommodating, and very willing to provide information about the island and what it has to offer. For the most part, their suggestions were helpful. If you're on the island to party at Paradise Beach, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're on the island to explore and experience the island, it's more than servicable

"Lovely beach house 5 mins from the beach"
Had a great holiday here during the 1st week of June 2014. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout the week. They picked us up and took us back to the airport and were kind enough to give us a lift into Mykonos Town one afternoon. The beach houses were in a great location with 4 beaches within walking distance. Agia Anna beach, the nearest beach to Almyra (5 mins walk), is a lovely, relaxing beach with a brilliant Taverna with traditional Greek food. Also, Paraga Beach is a nice sandy beach worth going to and the Tasos Taverna there was the best food we had during our trip. I would advise against going to Platys Gialos Bay as the beach is too busy and the food not as good and more expensive! We originally didn't have any form of transport but ended up hiring a quad bike for a few days. Was only 30 euros to hire and was a quick and easy way of getting around. This allowed us to explore the island a bit. Super Paradise Beach is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful sand and clear sea. I've never been to the Caribbean, but this must be pretty close to what it looks like! Mykonos Town is also worth going to. Only a 10 minute drive and lovely shops and tavernas. It is a maze walking around the streets so you will get lost at some point but can always find a way your way out! If you're looking for a relaxing week on a beach with good traditional Greek food and nice people, this is a great place to stay.

"Nice, Friendly Hotel Away from the Tourist Drag"
My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights in August and booked quite late minute (so the rates were quite high). After waiting over an hour to hail a cab (there are only 30 on the island so call in advance!!) we finally made it to the Thomas Hotel. This hotel is slightly more inland, on the hills overlooking the main town but set back amongst residential houses and paddocks. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk down to the main town but it's a great walk through beautiful and picturesque cobblestoned lanes and steps past old white washed homes. Each night, despite the return walk being uphill, we appreciated walking home into the quiet areas with the lights of Mykonos town down below us. The staff were very friendly, our (deluxe) room was quite large, and everything was very clean. We really liked the breakfast (amazing Greek yoghurt and cheese pies), and each morning we'd go for a refreshing swim in the pool to start our day. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to stay out of the immediate hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and who don't mind a bit of a scenic walk (although you have to be careful on the narrow, winding roads when cars come by).

"Good location / price"
We had a night in Mykonos mainly to go see Delos before taking a ferry to Santorini. Hotel was in a good location. Rooms were okay. Not luxury, but clean, and everything worked. Breakfast was great. The pool area was way above expectations - very nice to lounge a bit. Free shuttle service to the ferry was a pleasant surprise. Staff was great. Would definitely stay again.

"Excellent location "
Elena Hotel was just inside the pedestrian area of Mykonos town. It was an easy walk, almost straight line, with a few wobbly bits, to the port area. This is important because the beautifully paved laneways do go off in all directions and it is easy to get lost. The whitewashed buildings are stunning in the summer light. While quite an expensive island it is really worth a visit even if you are a " mature" couple. The incredible archaeological site on the nearby island of Delos is worth a visit, in fact it is the reason we went to Mykonos in the first place.
