Beware-Bait and Switch Rooms, $50/day beach chair

Pros: location, water taxis to other beaches BUT bus to town was always overloaded
Cons: Breakfast hot food was always cold Far too many beach vendors at hotel w/cheap knockoffs bothering people NONSTOP $50/day+ for beach chairs!
We booked and confirmed a triple junior suite with sea view through expedia at a very high nightly rate. There are several photos of this room category, along with the expedia description, which specifically states "sea view" showing a modern updated room. Upon check-in, however, the staff led us to a dark, smelly, unrenovated, basement room, below the main floor the lobby level, with a rusty, dirty bathroom, shabby bedding and a pool view from the one and only window in the room (not a sea view). The room looked nothing like the expedia photos. At first, the front desk agent tried to tell us it was their "best and largest room" (more like their worst and darkest) and stated that the expedia description says "pool OR sea view"-which it absolutely DOES NOT. After demanding we be moved to the renovated sea view room that we booked, and paid for, we endured several minutes of theatrics on the part of the front desk agent who continued to tell us that this was their best room, there were no other rooms available, etc.. Only after saying that we wouldn't stay in the basement room, did they did move us to the EXACT sea view room pictured on expedia -- which was suddenly available. Huh? The experience left us with a very bad feeling and very uncomfortable with staff integrity as they clearly were less than truthful with us. Based on our experience at check-in, we wouldn't return and could never recommend this hotel

Petinos beach hotel was a quick stay but very enjoyable. Convenient to beach and excellent restaurants. 20min easy bus ride to mykonos town. Offered free upgrade on arrival and hotel staff exceptionally courteous. I had a 5:30a departure time and they packed me a breakfast and called a free shuttle to the airport. Excelent all around.

This is the best hotel in Mykonos. It's so close to the beach that you can enjoy the beautiful sea view right from the pool. The other hotels in this area require a walk down a hill to sea level. It was so easy to get to Chora by the bus and to the other beaches by water taxi. Even at the other beaches, we did not see a hotel that was as nice as the Petinos. The breakfast buffet was amazing! It is comparable to a brunch buffet at a high end hotel, lots of selection. The best part about this hotel was the staff, they were all so friendly and clearly wanted to help in any way that they can.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved it! The location was ideal and the rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast in the open dining area by the beach was a perfect way to begin each day. You won't go wrong booking this one!

NICE HOTEL AND GOOD LOCATION TO QUIET BEACH

Pros: LOCATION, BREAKFAST WITH FRESH ORANGE JUICE, GOOD WIFI
Cons: MAKE SURE ROOM BOOK AND CONFIRMED WITH CREDIT CARD SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AND READY UPON CHECK IN NOT 1 DAY LATER. AIRPORT PICK UP, DRIVER IS USELESS.
Location: GREAT BEACH, 10 METERS FROM HOTEL. BUS STOP TAKE YOU TO CITY CENTER OF MYKONOS.
ARRIVED WITH CONFIRM RESERVATION AND ROOM RESERVED WAS NOT AVAILABLE, HOTEL GAVE WHAT WAS UPGRADE (ROOM WITH NO WINDOWS). THE FOLLOWING DAY GAVE US THE CORRECT ROOM, POOR ADMINISTRATION. ALSO AIRPORT PICK UP, DRIVER IS USELESS. THERE ARE 2 PETINOS HOTEL BESIDE EACH OTHER OWNED BY THE SAME PEOPLE, BUT DRIVER WILL NOT ALLOW AS TO TAKE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE TO HOTEL.

This is a lovely hotel overlooking the sea with steps down to the beach . It has been newly redecorated and the rooms are a mixture of comfort with style . Lots of luxurious shampoos and goodies and a truly excellent shower . The Hotel undersells itself as I booked a standard room and it was large , comfortable & very good , Better than superior rooms elsewhere The staff are lovely and super professional and helpful . The breakfasts are good . I arrived feeling grey and tired and left feeling chilled, happy and refreshed . Thank you .

The key to the perfect Mykonos vacation

Pros: Accessibility to anything you want, views, the powerful and wide shower, vast breakfast, staff that are very knowledgeable, welcoming, and tolerant.
Cons: The only thing I can think of sounds very snobby/American and that's better/more TV channels : )
Location: A few steps away: great restaurants/bars, trail around the side of the island, bus stop to go into town, dock for boat tours, the Aegean Sea.
We were furious when we got to Petinos Beach hotel because Alitalia airlines had lost an important suitcase. But two front desk workers helped us connect with the airline and baggage company, reassured us we would be okay, and were even nice enough not to get upset when we were clearly taking our anger out on them for no reason. We apologized incessantly once the bag turned up. Over the next few days we took in the hotel's beautiful views and immense breakfast buffet while relishing in not having to walk far at all to get to whatever we wanted in terms of food, sights, public transportation, aquatic activities, and relaxing lounges, sometimes with live music. Also right outside the hotel is this trail that takes you to great view points, quiet spots on the water and restaurants and beaches such as the party-filled Paradise Beach.
