Second experience staying on the beachPosted Sep 28, 2015
We really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable, clean, and over all a nice size. More than what I expected. We will definitely be back.

Rooms a little small, parking inconvenient.Posted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Parking.... Not able to park on the hotel grounds and have to walk to and from parking lots across the busy roads of Myrtle Beach. Not convenient.
Location: Tons to do, it's Myrtle Beach
Not a bad place to stay for a quick get away for the weekend. Staff was great, rooms were ok, a little small. Expedia advertised it as an oceanfront room, which it was not. Parking was not good.

Close to beach a plusPosted Sep 23, 2015
The overall stay was good.. The linen was old and out dated it had stains on the bathroom and bedroom linen. Also after housekeeping the room smelled like and old mop

A lot less than I bargained for.Posted Sep 21, 2015
Cons: everything needs improving
Location: it is a very active section of the beach
Based on the price I was not expecting the Marriott, but the parking was worse than expected. I am surprised the city of Myrtle Beach has not complained about the check-in area and trying to get in and out of the front entrance. Then parking in vacant lots scattered around the next two blocks. I felt unsafe walking as well as for my car being parked out there. The room had a musty smell that did not go away with the air conditioning. The towels are beyond just being small they are tiny. The grass was not cut around the upper deck of the pool area. The staff were not friendly. The facility is old and feels humid and damp.

Not as nice as the pictures showPosted Sep 21, 2015
The toilet was loose like a rocking chair. The bar for the shower curtain was loose and hanging. When you walked out on your balcany/all you could hear was the music blaring from the hotel next to us. This stayed on until 10:00 at night. The wall in the bedroom were dirty. We'll not stay here again. Pools dirty, Jacuzzi dirty...

Lazy Staff, But decent stayPosted Sep 17, 2015
I stayed here for 2 nights in a King 1 bed room Suite. Pros: -Decent looking hotel room and comfortable bed for my taste. -The beach on the grounds in front of the hotel weren't too, real easy to find a spot to sit drink and sun bath. Compairtively to the other local hotels as you could look down the beach at the larger hotels and see people having to hord in at one area. Cons: -Few parking spots under the hotel. Didn't bother me thou. There is other parking just across the street. -Smell of what as most likely "Weed" in the elevator, probably due to the populous not hotel staff. -Pool/hot tub/lazy river looked discusting, like it hadn't been cleaned in 5 years. That area kinda grossed me out. -The Bar didn't seem to ever be open the entire time I sayed there. Not sure why. -My biggest con is that no one cleaned our hotel room. A lady came to our door, asked for room service. I told the lady that would be great and that I was leaving in just a min. 5min later we left the room, and to come back 4 hours later to see that the room had not been cleaned. When addressing this with the front desk and having to go down to get fresh towels, I spoke with a man who told me that through documentation that this lady come too our room twice and we refused service. Which isn't true at all. I explained this to the man, he just said he'd report it to house keeping. Doesn't fix my room or my reflection of my stay there. I'm not a picky person, I just want what I pay for.

Close to the beach but outdated pool area.Posted Sep 15, 2015
It was a nice hotel but it looked as if it was trying to become modern. The room featured a tiny tiny private balcony which was literally carved in the side of the hotel whipped faced the parking garage of the neighboring hotel. Needless to say honking horns all night. The room was a king sized bed and kitchen which had no dish towels to use. The fridge constantly made noise all night. The ac never stayed on. Also the only furniture to sit on was a bed so you had to eat dinner in your bed. Even though there was a space for a desk and chair. And the tub had hair in it. But not a totally bad place to stay.

Great location, average qualityPosted Sep 15, 2015
The location is great, however the staff is not so friendly and the side rooms are very dark. There is no window, just the balcony door and it faces another building. The balcony is useless as you can only hear the air conditioning and it is not cozy at all. Overall, average rating.

WOREST EXPERIENCE EVERPosted Sep 11, 2015
Pros: Seeing it in my rear view mirror!
Cons: read experience above!
Location: There were a lot of nice hotels near by where we dined and enjoyed football and A/C. Also, the boardwalk was nice, the Tiki Bar has the best burgers.
The pictures on the web does not accurately show the current condition of the hotel. Some of the issues were: Patio door would not lock, room was very small, ice machines, lounge, and beach lights did not work during the week, no security ( anyone could come into the hotel at any hour without going by from desk), no one was available to check us out at 6 am (we heard voice in the laundry room, but no one would come to the door), balcony view of the adjacent hotel (20 ft away), bathroom tube had no slip resistance strips and my wife slipped and fell (when I complained they told me to put a tile on the tube base), there were 12 parking spots at the hotel (they had additional parking a block away) The gym had no A/C and had three pieces of equipment in it (not including the fan ). This was my birthday and 27th wedding anniversary and was filled with frustration and disappointment. We even called Expedia, but the operator's english was, broken and she had no resolution. This experience will make me think twice about using Expedia, because the hotel told me since I booked with Expedia I had to go through them to get a different room.
