Great place to stay

Pros: Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great location.
Cons: Do let the accommodations get run down
Location: Great location, close to theaters, great restaurants, stores and good golf.
We have stayed at the Yacht Club condo every year for several years. They are normally excellent to outstanding, this year no so much. The condo was in dire need of routine maintenance. Shower door wouldn't close, handle to control water temp spun around with no stops. Nothing really major except the cond was tired one needed care and general sprucing up.

Nice resort on a golf course

Pros: Location
Cons: New mattresses and better TVs
Location: Located right behind Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Good restaurants nearby
We stayed in a two bedroom luxury condo, However, the TV in the living room did not work. We called about it but no one came to check it out. The beds were not the most comfortable. Very quiet place.

Perfect beach town get away

This resort isn't on the beach- but it's fanstastic! Cozy and quiet and close to restaurants and shops. We had a great time here!

Pros: The rooms are nice.
Cons: The staff needs retrained.
The hotel room itself was very nice. The hotel staff was uninformed and had a bad attitude. We rented a room and not a condo, We were told at check in we owed $188.00 additional dollars as we had already paid the advertised fees. On the second day we asked when our room was going to be cleaned and fresh towels supplied. We were then told rooms would not be cleaned until after we checked out. We were also told that housekeeping would bring more towels and toilet paper, but they never showed up. We bought our own toilet paper and I got towels from maids in other buildings. The $188.00 at the desk was for service fees and a $100.00 security deposit. This was the first time I have ever paid a security deposit at a hotel and I am still wondering what extra services I paid for. We were there 4 days and our room was never cleaned.

Thank you for your response. How ever we do not provide daily housekeeping for any of our units. We are a Vacation Rental Company that rents people's second home. We are not set up as a hotel that provides the daily services you are speaking of and this information is available on all sites in the policies section.

Very cozy setting in the perfect area. Honestly u don't have to even travel more than five miles for pure comfort in any direction.

Large but sparsely furnished condo

Cons: Bedroom rugs needed spot cleaning. Lots of spots. Some furniture beginning to show wear.
First Expedia said my balance was due on arrival but Barefoot insisted on balance a week in advance. Little disconnect. Condo was large and adequately furnished but a little on the sparse side and the couch/sleepsofa was a little uncomfortable for sitting. A few repairs were required on arrival but taken care of immediately. Condo was on the west of the waterway and therefore less expensive but only a 3 minute drive from the ocean. Actually my friend did a 6 mile run from the condo to the ocean and back.

I tried to rate this stay without speaking negatively about the experience but my effort to do so was thwarted. Apparently you must write about your experience to satisfy the site. Big Mistake. This Yacht club villas are not being maintained effectively any longer. The rooms are not cleaned well. I've stayed here a dozen or more times over the last 3 years, it's worse off every stay. It's location is convenient so it still has that going for it. It's affordable. Just expect to clean when you get there. I bring cleani g supplies with me. Not kidding.

This can't be Barefoot

Our room was not up to par, the carpets were grossly stained, furniture was torn, the mattress wrapped in plastic was most uncomfortable. This was not what we were used to staying at barefoot. We love the location and have stayed before and it was wonderful; not this time.

Had a great stay. Kids enjoyed having there own room and the feeling of being home. Very clean and updated. Thanks so much. We will be booking here again. Can't wait, it's like home away from home. I'll be telling all my friends and family about my stay.

The keys didn't work, had to go back to the office 3 times to get additional keys for the room & manager acted like it was a inconvenience to get us the correct keys. After getting into the room had to be moved, the room was filthy & there was even a dirty diaper in the trash can by the door. Had to wait over 1 hour to get a room, which caused us to miss our supper reservations.
