Nice hotel scross from the beach!

Pros: The room was pretty good,had nice clean towels and the breakfast was pretty good,too!
Cons: The first day our room was ok. We went out and came back in the evening to found out our room wasn't done..called front desk to let them know our room wasnt cleaned up at all...heard a knock on the door and one of the staff cane with a bunch of cleaned towels and apologize about the situation. .next day went out for breakfast,came back the beds were made but the room wasnt cleaned thoroughly. ...better housekeeping would of been nice!!!
Location: Hotel was near good places to eat. ...

Hurricane Matthew

Cons: The neighboring hotel....
Location: It is across the street from the beach and there is a Starbucks a couple of blocks away. The boardwalk I also a short distance from the hotel.
We came down to Myrtle Beach the day after Hurricane Matthew and the power was out in the House we were renting. It caused us to have to stay at a hotel for 2 nights and this was the hotel that fit our needs. Next door to the hotel is another hotel that was a little dirty and run down and it made us question if this was going to be a good choice. The hotel owner who was there at check in was reassuring and had his employees do a check of the grounds for us to put our minds at ease. We were pleasantly surprised at the breakfast which was nicer than some of the higher end hotels we have stayed at. The owner and staff were all VERY Friendly and were a huge help in making our stay comfortable and relaxing. THANK YOU!!!!

Nice cottage

I really enjoyed the cottage I stayed at, it was my first time staying at this location it was very nice and neat there were just some cleaniness issues like gum on the floor or dirty floors. Overall though I really did enjoy it I'd give a perfect score if it were cleaner.

4 nights at Best Western Myrtle Beach

Location: beach, shopping, some attractions
Room was ready when we arrived, check in was fast, clerk was very helpful. Had an efficiency room with stove, fridge and microwave. This room was in the building across the street from the beach facing the parking lot. All appliances were clean and in good working condition. Very limited supply of dishes and utensils, some were not clean.The toaster was broken and it was exchanged when requested. TV, internet, air conditioning in good working condition, no problems. Daily breakfast includes standard processed foods, limited or absent fresh fruit and limited healthier choices. Bathroom was clean with lots of towels, good shower. Housekeeping was inconsistent, one day only partial housekeeping was done, another day nothing was done.Saw cockroaches just outside of the room on several occasions. The location is good with easy access to everything. Did not use the pool.

picture very deceiving !

Cons: Show the whole property, we traveled from upstate NY only to stay in an old motor court not the hotel shown. Very deceiving !
Very deceiving, pic. Showed a high rise not a motor court. Old, clean but not what we expected, not pleased at all, thank goodness only one night !

On some sites our Oceanfront Building is both prominent and pictured first, but many other pictures follow and are available for viewing--of our room types, pools, lobby, etc. We very much want prospective guests to know what we offer, in as much detail as possible. Expensive! Gross room.

First of all this hotel is super expensive for what it is. Yes it's a block from the beach but I'm sure I could've stayed somewhere cheaper and the room would not have been that much different. As soon as I got into the bathroom I saw that the shower curtain was covered in mildew. I called front desk and someone quickly came and changed it but the annoying part to me is that mildew builds up and housekeeping would've easily seen that while cleaning the bathroom. They just chose not to. They waited until a guest had to request it. Then I see a moldy rotten old peeled banana in the corner of the room. Yes a banana. Not under the bed hidden from view but where it could easily be seen. I had small kids with me and would have been furious if one of them had picked it up. The staff was apologetic but at that point it didn't help much. I will never stay at a Best Western again which is a bummer because I have stayed at a few that were totally decent. But after staying at this one I never want to be a guest at any of them again. This was just super expensive super disgusting.

Nice hotel close to the beach

This hotel was fine overall, and we'd certainly stay there again. The free breakfast was very good (though you can't bring it back to your room) and the workout room was nice as well. We were on the 3rd floor with no elevator, that would be the only negative. Staff was very friendly. Nice stay overall

Please know we try very hard to let guests know before they arrive if their room is located in the building not serviced by an elevator--and we're sorry for any inconvenience you experienced because of it. Beautiful hotel with an amazing oceanfront view

If this hotel were in any other location, it would b 4 stars. The biggest downfall is the location. The hotel is next to the Viking hotel which seems to attract hoodlums and drug users. I felt nervous going to and from my car and it was so loud. Luckily, the room was sound proof and we didn't hear anything inside. I appreciate the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and building. Get the oceanfront room if you can. The balcony is private and the view is incredible!

Perfection for a trip down memory lane

Haven't been since family trips over 30 yrs ago. A lot has changed but in many ways not. The beach is one of the best to take long walks on. Make sure at this hotel you get ocean front for quick access. The room had great views. Nice living and kitchen space. A few nights would.t be bad here for chilling. Far enough yet close enough to amusements.
