We stayed in the middle tower of the Drayton and found it to be very outdated. The hallways and walkways were filthy, scuffed up and and in dire need of some attention. The room was marginally better. What saved the day was the manager she tried her best to please us when we told her of our dislike of our first room. The entire resort could use an update, but the location and staff couldn't be beat.

There were several room towers. Our tower where we were originally booked was behind the main property. The area was poorly lit the parking area was unsafe. Once we got to our building the doors and elevators were locked. We walked the block back to the main building with all of our luggage because no one would answer the phone in the main building. They apologized but the building had been evacuated and they forgot to tell us. They then put us in a room in the main building, there a horrible smell and something growing on the walls. The baseboards were popped off from the walls. I checked the beds and the seams, there was signs of bedbugs, small bloodspots in the seams of the mattresses. The carpets were destroyed and dirty. The blanket on one bed had a large hole in it. I was traveling alone with my young adult daughter. At this point it was 10 pm. We went to the front desk, let them know we were not staying. They apologized and said they would have a manager call. No one ever called and no charges were reversed.

I love the Dayton House, second time staying there. Rooms are awesome, beach front is fantastic. Pools could be updated and I wish it didn't smell like marijuana in the halls and on the elevator. Otherwise one of my favorites

From signing in to the room given to us ,don't want to narrate our ordeal before getting our rooms.The room given to us the carpet to that room was stained,there was always the large trash bin when you come out of your room. Not a pretty sight,felt disgusted through it all . The toilet was not properly washed when we checked in .It was a overall bad experience .

Our room was clean and the bed comfy. Nice full size fridge that worked! The staff was so kind and friendly, if we return to this hotel it will bc because of them! One of the hot tubs had bread floating around in it and a rum bucket. Otherwise I think this hotel was great.

The property has a great location and the staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms and amenities are super dated! The "indoor pool" and "lazy river" were disappointing. Very small and the pool had so much chlorine in it you couldn't see the bottom. They tried to give the property a facelift but if it wasn't for the convenience of the location I would have found a different place to stay. The free breakfast was meh. Again, the staff was very nice but the food was just meh.

The check-in process was horrible. The staff would not assist in notification of when our room was available. They only said to use their "app". Their "app" did not work. They did not offer to just call us when the room was ready, so we sat in the lobby for an hour until the manager came by. He assisted us and had our room ready immediately! Thank you, Manager. Staff was no help at all.

When I got there at 3:30 I was informed that check in wont be until 6:30PM. I said ai thought check in is at 4. They said our policy is check in starts at 4 amd when your room is ready we let you know. 47 years thats first I ever heard that policy and I travel alot for work. The staff was friendly, not there fault. Is what it was but will never stay there again because of that policcy.

The checkin had a line outside even with 3 people working-never experienced that before. One elevator was out of service, but was fixed a couple days later. The room wasn’t vacuumed and we found a drink bottle next to the bed. The bathroom, fridge and sink area looked clean. The bathroom was very small and you felt like you were in a closet with a toilet. There was a blower/fan in the hallway when you got out of the elevator all week. There were no drink or snack machines on the floor. The breakfast was at an off site location that you had to walk to in the rain-again new experience. The price was very reasonable and now I understand why. Spend a little more and get a better hotel and room. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I liked the layout of our room and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The floor to our room on the 8th floor was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Our room was clean. The elevator worked quickly. The pools and beach were great. We got into our room late because it was not ready. The process to get rooms ready for customers checking in needs work.
