Don't waste your money. VERY disappointing!

Very disappointed with this hotel. The pro to this hotel is the location. It's a short drive to the beach and there are tons of restaurants close-by. The Myrtle Beach boardwalk is a 30 minute drive, while the quieter Cherry Grove beach is a 5 minute drive.
Unfortunately the hotel is DIRTY. Our first room had hair in the shower and scattered all over the floor. When I called down to tell the front desk, in hopes that housekeeping may come and clean, we were told housekeeping was no longer in (5pm on a Saturday) so we got an impersonal apology. The staff suggested we pack up our stuff (2 suitcases and 2 carry-on's) and go to another room. Annoyed as this was the only offered solution, we decided to try the other room. We were escorted to our room by a hotel staff member who was supposed to go over the room with us- he dropped us off at the door and left. The room was equally as dirty, with rust covering parts of the bathroom and the clothes rack although I didn't find any hairs in the bathroom, just black dots on the sheets. The rugs were dirty and smelt like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. As it was too late for us to leave and get a different hotel, we stayed there for the night.
When we checked out (we luckily only stayed 1 night!) the staff didn't even ask how our stay was. He just said "OK, you're all set."-- not even a friendly goodbye or apology for the dirty rooms. Don't go here!! I plan on getting my money back.
