Good potential

Room service 1. After the first night,September/15 @11:30 Room service knocked on the door for cleaning we asked to come back after half an hour. After we left the room we said good bye to the room attendant. However the room was not cleaned. 2. The second day the room was cleaned but the bed was not done at all, it was no personal belongings on the bed, and the shower stall was not cleaned. 3. 3rd day the room attendant forgot to put in the garbage can a plastic bag. It looks like when the room was cleaned it was done with shortcut. Renovation and breakfast We accept and understand that renovation includes some inconveniences around , but the breakfast with plastic and paper tableware and in separate rooms was really inconvenient. Dogs It is very nice that you allowing dogs, but barking dogs is not what you expect on Saturday afternoon between 2-5 pm from room number 449 or 447 (the last room in the vestibule) Noisy guests In same Saturday afternoon September/16 they were bunch of 6 guys in the vestibule speaking loudly and giggling with glasses of bear for half an hour. Pool The pool water were not clean to say the least. The stuff were very nice and friendly. Some of the info inconveniences were not directly the hotel fault, but guests with dogs or in a group should be instructed to be considerable with the other guests.

Nice hotel, Friendly Staff, Close to Beach

Location: Broadway at the Beach is close by, the beach was a 5 min. walk, plenty of restaurants and is a bit less commercial than North Myrtle Beach.
Despite the remodeling going on, this was a nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. The beach was a 5 min. walk and hotel was close to plenty of good restaurants and things to do.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Pros: It was clean, most of the staff were wonderful and very professional. The staff responded quickly to request for services.
Cons: Do not advertise a workout room if not available; do not advertise pool if not useable
Location: One block from the beach, restaurants nearby, quiet neighborhood, parking available. Situated centrally to activities
I selected La Quinta since I had stayed there on other occasions and at other sites, and was pleased with the room, price, and service. I checked to be sure there was a workout room, and there was one listed. Unfortunately when we got there the room was closed for our entire stay. We looked at the La Quinta on 21st St but it was too far from the beach, and we really liked the beach on 48th. We were told we could use their workout room but it was not convenient and I did not end up going there. There was construction and noise the entire day, so we did not stay in the hotel during the day. The last day the pool was covered with debris from the construction. I wish I had paid better attention to the reviews I would have stayed somewhere else. I did not want to look for a new room once I was finally on vacation.

Was not informed that the hotel was being renovate

I was completely disappointed, was not informed nor was it indicated that the hotel was being renovated. It smelled awful my wife has asthma and allergies and she started getting sick immediately. We understood that it was pet friendly but people where letting there dogs pee and poop under the parking deck and leaving it there. Totally disgusted with this hotel. I will never book a vacation nor recommend family/ friends at the La Qunita. I will say one hotel staff her name was Bonnie she went above and beyond the call of duty and got us in another hotel. I really commend her for her hard work.

Nice clean hotel, close enough to beach. Clean.

Had a nice stay with family. Clean but it's under construction so breakfast was eat and go. But rooms were clean and grounds were clean. Happy with stay

being renovated staff did great job

nice staff,clean roomy room.messy renovation.

Pros: good room fairly close to the beach. nice pool.
Cons: it is hard to tell if the hotel will be better after the renovation is done.
Location: near the beach. near restaurants and shopping.
The renovations in progress have colsed the lobby. dispite that the check in process was smooth and friendly.

Cons: Clean the parking lot
Location: Need transportation to get to attractions
Hotel was great clean room bed comfortable, customer service reps were friendly and informative. The hotel was under construction , parking lot a little trashy at tjmes our room was located near the elevator switch made it a little noisy.

being renovated it doesn't look appealing

Close to the beach, the staff was AWESOME indeed, very friendly and helpful people but: the hotel is being renovated since December 2016, so the entrance is actually the back door, the breakfast room is non existent and the elevator was out of service for our last two days there...Love the people there but didn't like the place. Also, you can hear everything through those walls and I mean EVERYTHING.
