Broken Chair, Run Down, Small Room

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: EVERYTHING
Location: LOCATION NOT BAD, GPS TOOK ME TO NORTH MYRTLE BEACH THOUGH, NOT SOUTH MYRTLE BEACH
I first entered room, looked for light switch, it didn't work or no light was affixed to switch to turn on, had to block door open to find a light to turn on. Room was exceptionally small, not like usual hotel rooms. Wrinkled bedding, dust in air conditioner, wind blew in around air conditioner. Poor view from balcony. Went to sit on balcony in a plastic chair, placed hands on chair to sit down and chair broke under me. Aggravated my knee, received several bruises from hitting frame of sliding glass door. For the amount I was charged for this room I should have had a 5 star hotel with a class A view!!!!! Staff was rude, no offer to help with luggage & I was coming from Florida to get away from Hurricane Irma. Didn't give ample information about property: ie: parking, how to get to beach, where pool was, where to walk dog, etc. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at!!!! THE ONLY POSITIVE STATEMENT IS THE ONE MAID; SAMANTHA. VERY PLEASANT!!

Pet friendly hotel on beach

Posted Sep 13, 2017
Bed was very uncomfortable. Room smelled like dog poop in spots. Housekeeping lady did a nice job cleaning on 2nd day took care of it. I would bring air freshener just in case, it is dog friendly. Indoor pool was loaded with cloreen, unable to use. Indoor hot tub broken. Outdoor hottub was only warm on day 1 but very nice after. Outdoor pool was very salty, unusable. Overall it was ok for a dog friendly hotel but I would try something else due to the beds. It also doesn't have a bar or restaurant

Nice hotel on the beach, great price

Posted Sep 8, 2017
MOST of the staff was friendly, especially the cleaning staff that refreshed our towels every day. The pools and hot tub were nice. We had issues with our room keys not working at least once a day. The free wifi is not very strong. And there is absolutely NO water pressure in the shower, took approx. 40 minutes just to take a "quick" shower. The room also had a weird smell the first couple of days we were there, so we sprayed febreze. The free movies were awesome though, and they were all the newest movies. But for the most part, you can not beat the price because it is right on the beach.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Posted Sep 5, 2017
The room was a mess. Cabinets were falling off and there was a piece of the ceiling hanging in the living room area. Since we had traveled from far we were too tired to mention anything. Big mistake on my part. I wanted to make the best of it considering the conditions the room was in. Next we noticed the pressure on the faucet in the bathroom was so low you couldn't properly shower. We had to use a bucket just to get enough water to wash off. Plus the tub would clog up every time someone showered. Just horrible. The second night we stayed in the bed in the Living room. When we woke up the next day we noticed part of the ceiling had fallen on top of us. There was bits and pieces everywhere. We called the front desk and they sent someone an hour later. Two handy men came by, scrapped off the ceiling. They said they would get house keeping to come by to clean up the mess. We waited 2 hours for them to come by. You would think that the condition of the room would make them send someone right away. Next day we heard noise at the door. We look out and noticed they were painting the front door. Kind of odd to be doing that when people are trying to sleep. We stepped out for a walk and as soon as I let the door closed the paint got all over my shirt. There were no signs of wet paint nor did they even bother to let us know. Worst experience ever.

Cons: Would have appreciated a sign for door to indicate "do not disturb" or "please makeup room"
Enjoyed our stay very much. Was pleasantly surprised at the room due to reserving online.Liked the laminate flooring rather than carpeting - room felt fresher.

My family and I loved this resort.

Posted Jul 20, 2017
It's Centrally located. It's close by a lot of attractions. It's right on the beach. The Hotel itself offered great Amenities. A bonus, we loved that there are DVD's in every room and free movies. The latest movies. We also loved our balcony view. The Staff was very friendly, very helpful. Full kitchen in the rooms. They are pet friendly. They have (2) pools, (2) hot tubs.

Ocean Park Resort

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: The Ocean view was Fantasist, The room was nice looking, Free Parking was convenient, access to the beach area was very nice.
Cons: The staff and the housekeeping to be able to assist guest with their needs, and get exterminator to kill the infestation of bugs.
Location: Close to the Sky wheel, restaurants, shopping centers, amusement parks,. lots to do
The cleaning of the room floor was dirty, Roches everywhere, housekeeping terrible. The staff not to helpful and Room available not on time, balcony dirty due to the debris of the renovation. The house keeping never replace our towels, they had very bad attitude tours guest. that has been an on going issue from the bad comments I had read in regards housekeeping and nothing is done.

Right off beach.

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: The kitchen helped save a small fortune on eating out expenses.
Cons: Room door was hard to open.
Location: Quick walk to the boardwalk, amusement park, and easy beach access.
Don't expect the Hilton. Not perfect, but I would stay again. The room was clean, the kitchen had dishes, utensils, pots, pans, baking sheet, and cooking utensils. Quick ride on elevator and two minute walk to the beach. Three pools and towels to check out for pool use and we always found a poolside lounge chair. Washer and dryer worked great, plenty of parking, and close to everything touristy on the boardwalk. Nearby golf cart/scooter rentals and a Neighborhood Walmart nearby for groceries. They even allow small dogs!!
