The resort is dated. The staff were nice and check in and out was smooth and quick. There is no indoor pool at the resort you have to go to some other resort. We did have bugs in the room which was disgusting. The parking deck is bad because it is very close trying to go up and down.

Although the staff was excellent, the rooms were dirty, especially the floors. It is time for housekeeping to step up its game. There is a tight parking garage, and I scratched my rental (I was not the only guest who experienced this problem). Very slim chance I stay at the strand again.

The staff were wonderful. Friendly and helpful and competent. Front desk and bar staff were great! The facilities were dated and needing some repair and refreshing. We found long dark hairs in our towels and on the floor and bedcover. Neither of us has long dark hair... the mattress cover was torn and ripped. The door was not closed the first time we entered. We realized it was because it does not close or open without alot of pushing and pulling. The deadbolt was very very tight and difficult to open or close. For the price, we expected more.

Check in was smooth and the amenities were OK but you could tell no one really cleaned a lot. The rooms were not that clean the floors in the hallway areas were dirty had not been vacuumed. There were literally pool towels everywhere. No one had ever picked up the night before, all over the Hotel grounds, trash left out and overflowing in some areas. The breakfast was OK though not too bad. I understand it was Easter weekend. Maybe this had something to do with it I’m not really sure but it didn’t look like they had a lot of help around the hotel.

Since I did not spend much time in the room itself, I did not care. I did love the beach and the restaurants that I could walk to. the bureau in my room had drink rings and sticky on it. The coffee pot looked like it had not been washed in forever. The sheets, bathroom etc were nice and clean. They had a GREAT breakfast. We did love the lounge chairs with shade out by the beach. We loved how convenient it was to park and then be right at the beach. The staff was friendly.

Overnight stay with daughter. Room was very cute, nice icean view with balcony. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room furnishings were older but everything was clean and operable. All amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Pool and patio lounge was clean and maintained. Breakfast was great and well attended but cofee could have been stronger. Will definitely return, felt overall a great value. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Every staff member there was so warm and informative. They were very friendly and accommodated our last minute need to stay a 3rd night! The breakfast was good. The hotel was very clean and even smelled clean upon walking in! The snowbirds that were there were where so friendly! They were having a superbowl get together downstairs and brought foods. They were inviting people to join the relaxed night. It was such a quiet area. We will definitely stay there again!

The surrounding area wasn’t too great. The ads make it look nice but it really seems like a youth hostel/boarding house doubling as a hotel. The room had a very weird entrance like they changed the walls around. The neighborhood is very mediocre. Breakfast was ok. It’s not a dirty hotel but not really so nice-the hallway was really ugly like a college dorm. I stayed here bc I had to extend my trip quickly and wanted to be close to the airport.

Great view of the ocean. They surpassed our expectations in every way. We were very impressed. Can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Strand. Parked our car and everything we needed was within a short walking distance. 👍

We booked a room with Kitchenette, microwave and fridge. However, when we checked in, they assigned us a room with none of this. I asked about that and denied that we had this kind of booking. I asked if we can pay extra and get a room with these amenities and they denied us. We asked if there is a fridge where we can store some perishable food we had and they denied that request too.

Dirty rooms
This is an apartment hotel which means people live here long term. They also have units “for sale”. I don’t know if it’s because of that or just a lack of good housekeeping but this place was very dirty upon checkin - it had clearly not been cleaned! There was hair all over the floor, and what looked like maybe drywall bits and pieces all over the carpet and sink area…maybe they were doing repairs? They hadn’t restocked Kleenex and the fridge was dirty and gross. Anyway I was disgusted at the lack of cleanliness and decided to leave and stay somewhere else after checking in and seeing the state of the room. Disappointing and inconvenient!

We checked in Wednesday before Thanksgiving .Wednesday and Thursday nights was absolutely horrible with the neighbor that we had next to us. We kept having to call down at the front desk to have security come up and take care of the guy next to us. We ended up checking out a day earlier than planned due to the obnoxious neighbor. I had requested another room to get away from him and because he was Thanksgiving weekend they were booked and had no other rooms available. I have requested a refund for the one day stay to be compensated for our troubles with the hotel. Overall the room in the hotel were very nice The Continental breakfast each morning was delicious actually! The maintenance of the room itself could have been a little bit better just small things that could have been taken care of that weren't. We had a great view of the ocean on the 7th floor!! All in all it could have been better. However it could have been a lot worse. Kind Regards Adrienne V.

Nice property overall. The coffee in the lobby sucked but Starbucks was a block away so that was okay. The toilet wouldn’t stop running either but we just turned the water off to it at night. No biggie. I would definitely stay here again.

liked being right on the ocean. Plenty of drawers/dressers/nightstands for storage. Staff was nice. Plenty of towels provided. Great location. DID NOT LIKE: saw what looked like black mold in one of the heating/ac vents. Rusty stove burners, yuck. mold in kitchen drawers. Refrigerator was rusting away on exterior. Lights in bathroom were super dusty. Bathroom tub fixture was cheap and flimsy.

Property was on the beach. Nice to hear the waves crashing against the shore. Pool was warm, so a nice dip before heading out to dinner. Hot tub was excellent. good way to unwind. Not too much happening at the hotel due to the off-season. Hence why the bar did not stay open past 9pm. I will not hold it AGAINST the my ratings. The only draw backs, 1st; no ceiling fans in the suite we had. It got pretty warm in the room, not warm enough for A/C. And the other guest down in the hot tube were loud, but not a problem. So we really could not leave the doors open for the cool ocean breeze to enter our room. If you are looking for big, flashy place. There is no glamour here. ITS NOT RUN DOWN EITHER. The weather and salty air has beaten up this place a bit. Sure it could use a fresh coat of paint, but hey it didn't matter to us. I would love to stay at this place again. Maybe I will.
