Bad behaviour spoiled the stay

When we reached the hotel ,the staff at reception didnot give proper response.He said that our booking was not confirmed which was quite shocking.However,we showed the print-out of the confirmation mail.Then ,we were allotted rooms which were not made up.On our insistence,the rooms were cleaned ,bedcovers changed etc.On the same day in the evening,we were told that our booking is not confirmed and that they had not received any payment from Expedia.They were showing us their bank account vouchers.When we insisted that we had already made payment through Expedia,the owner of the Hotel said that they donot have any understanding with Expedia.We were completely shocked and upset by such behaviour of the owner.He said -I WILL NEVER ALLOW YOU AGAIN IN MY HOTEL!
Having travelled world wide ,we had never come across such humiliating experience.We had booked through Expedia ,going by the excellent reputation.On the last day ,the hotel staff demanded the entire amount of stay (hotel tariff).The only consolation available to us were our friends who were locals of Mysore.They had to intervene and sort out the matter.Infact, my children and I went to railway station with our luggage while my husband was held back.All the while we wooried as to whater he would make it to staion on time.By God's grace with the help of our friend's , my husband could reach the station just on time.
Please check with the hotel authorities so that no other tourist faces such harrowing experiences.
