Horrible motel & Service!!!

Posted Jul 23, 2016
Made a reservation online through Expedia was not supposed to charge my card until check in , When we got there the hotel was old and run down and we decided we did not feel safe staying there so When I called to tell them we would not be staying the Desk clerk stated that I had waited to late and their policy was I had to cancel by 6:00!! How could I cancel by 6:00 if we weren't there to assess the situation and see that we did not feel safe staying there with our camp girls?? Anyway they charged my credit card as a no show and refused to refund the $96.04 and the desk clerk was rude and unprofessional about the whole situation! Will never stay at a La Quinta again and if I could give a rating of -0 I would!! Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague!!!!

Our cancellation policy is by 6pm on day of arrival. In case of emergencies we will honor a late cancellation. Your call came in right before midnight and if you would've came into the lobby and express your concerns I'm sure we would've worked something out with you and Expedia.

Hotel is a little dated

Posted May 22, 2016
Pros: The hotel is comfortable, clean rooms, and worked for 2 night stays while traveling. Main lobby very open, friendly staff and continental breakfast w
Cons: Continue to improve on the maintenance, new exterior paint, roofing on the main entrance would improve the exteroir appearrance.
Location: The resturant next door is excellent, and very fine to be next door. Just visiting family.
Though the hotel is dated and the roof needs a repair at the entrance, the hotel was comfortable and clean. Large amount of oil field workers and construction crews....they were a little loud and hung out side. The hotel is comfortable, clean rooms, and worked for 2 night stays while traveling. Main lobby very open, friendly staff and continental breakfast was good and clean dinning area.

Pros: Accomodating staff.
The property was tired but seemed to be pretty well kept. Ok for the price.

Nothing fancy, just a nice clean, quiet and value priced place to call it an evening.

worth the price. Close to eateries and relatively easy access to major highway. Pretty quiet property. I stay there every time I have to work in Lufkin.

Very nice & clean property, right off the speedway

Posted Mar 10, 2016
Pros: Clean.
Cons: Noise from the Speedway
Location: Angelina College, Lufkin Industries (oil co.) , Atkinson Candy Company (makers of Chick-o-Stick)
Very nice & clean property, conveniently located right off the speedway (59, soon to be I-69). The front desk employee is very nice. Breakfast included.
