Very nice hotel

Very nice and clean hotel, the best hotel I've had while in Greece. The price for the quality of the hotel is a good deal compared to those in Athens. The breakfast buffet spread is good. Near the bus terminal, near the sea, near the square, overlooking the fort, clean area, safe place.

Simple and very comfortable

The Hotel Park is straightforward and comfortable; my "single" room had a king-sized bed with one of the best firm mattresses I've met in years (better than I have at home!). Bright foyer and rooms with marble floors, plenty of wardrobe space, nice bathroom and very nice complimentary toiletries (lovely to have a proper bath in a hotel room!), a fridge to keep my water and picnic things cooled; friendly courteous staff, daily room cleaning and fresh linen; the buffet breakfast isn't the most elaborate I've come across but there were plenty of choices and as a diabetic I appreciated the options like wholemeal bread as well as white, yoghurt with walnuts, and scrambled egg. It's a simple hotel, don't expect frills, but very comfortable and unfussy. The situation is good; just outside the old town, so a five minute walk to get to the various town museums, picturesque streets and traditional restaurants though there are also places to eat just around the corner beside the park, and even a small local souvlakia place right opposite). Being outside the old town means the area is much quieter at night, so a better night's sleep!
