typical Japanese hotel - dated, cramped
no wifi, which I needed to check in for plane. Had to search and pay for an internet café, but website down so waste of money. If hotel had wifi I could have kept checking. I also missed emails from airline and booking agent telling me about delayed plane and to contact them re my connecting flight. Luckily all sorted out at the airport two days later. Hotel a bit dated, bathroom cramped with little shelving to put things.

Cheap hotel in the downtown area
The staff is really helping, and they can provide multi-language services. The location is in the downtown Nagoya, so transportation and dining is very convenient. The facility is okay, but the internet service seems have a problem. Overall a nice hotel worth of its price.

Basic hotel, okay for one night
Well it took us an hour to find it as its not located correctly on google maps. The place does not look nice for the outside. Its located on a very noisy busy street full of dodgy looking bars, lots of people on the street trying to get you into the bars. Almost got charged two nights when only staying for one. Room was very dark and dreary, the walls are black! Bed and bathroom facilities were fine. Staff were helpful enough. Paid far too much for this hotel considering the previous hotel i stayed in was much cheaprr and sooo much nicer. Wouldnt recommend.

Horrible dont stay!
Hotel was awful, it was old and poorly maintained, the hallways and room are painted in shades of brown and black and were peeling and dirty. It hadnt been updated in a long time. We pulled the duvee off for fear of bed bugs, the bathroom reaked of urine and the shower plug hole was blocked. The noise from the street was also very loud as the hotel was located in an adult redlight area.

Small Hotel Room That encourages you to explore
A rather small room, which is understandable for a place that is built for density. Reasonablely comfy & clean. The only unfortunate things were the bathtub being way too small & the window facing the gap in between the buildings not allowing for much sunlight at all. The hotel is situated right in the middle of the red light district, but a small walk from the science Musuem & nagoya castle. As the title suggests the small room is reasonably comfy but really encourages to want to be outdoors exploring. There is also a great ramen place across the street.

Great value
After staying in a capsule hotel the previous 2 night for only a few dollars less, I have to say that this hotel offers a great value. Mind you, it was a in a different city (Osaka) but this room is obviously bigger and has a private bathroom. I wouldn't want to use this hotel for an extended stay but if you're staying in Nagoya for just a day or two and need a place to stay for the night, it's hard to beat the value offered by this hotel.

Budget hotel with limited bathroom space
It's cheap, which may account for the state of the facilities. The bathroom was way too small and didn't look too clean either. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Conveniently located and conveniently equipped with microwave in the room, washing machine, dryer, and food and drinks in the auto-machine in the hallway. Very helpful for trippers.

Perfect for what I needed
It was perfect. It was cheap. It was clean. The shower was strong and hot. I just needed a place to stay in Nagoya for the night and it provided exactly what I needed at a price that was super affordable. I would recommend it for any sojourner coming thru Nagoya.

Great location, however a bit glum-looking (our corridor + room was black.. don't know if it's like this for all floors or just ours). Helpful staff. Would perhaps not choose this hotel for a longer stay, but it was perfect for one night.

Mixed bag!
Nice bed, cool area, and nice people working there. No Internet so we had to hire a laptop (1000 yen) and use Internet with LAN cable. The ceiling was leaking water from the ninth floor. I liked that it was in an area of lively people but it was quiet. The room for the price was good just sort of limited for outlets to charge phones camera batteries etc. And no Wifi... Ugh! And no phone in the rooms!!!! so i had to go up and down elevator to ask a question. Spacious front lobby.

Cockroach infested, dark rooms with musty stench
I stayed on the top floor, and first thing I noticed was that the single room was terribly small and cramped (smaller than your typical Japanese business hotel). To make matters worse, they decided to paint the walls with a dark grey color, including the ceilings. Overall, this makes the room and corridors seem even smaller than they actually are. I wonder why was this choice of colors used, when cream or off-white would have brightened up any small hotel room. The room itself was musty, and the air was heavy in the intense summer heat. The toilet smelled funky, the bed mattress was as hard as a rock. Did not get a good night's sleep at all. On my 2nd night, I discovered a cockroach was roaming about the room. Not sure where it came from, but as I peered under the bed (found a used tissue that wasn't cleared by housekeeping) and behind the air-conditioner, I found the room and its corners to be extremely dusty. The cockroach must have made its home there. After I killed the roach and swept it out to the common corridor, I was bemused that by the 3rd night, the dead roach was still lying there, as if no housekeeper bothered to clean the area. The hotel itself is in a pretty seedy location. It's definitely safe (hey it's Japan), but touts are aplenty especially when you return past 9pm. I do not recommend more than 2 nights stay in this hotel.

Location was good. Center of Nagoya. A little noisy because of the area but the upper floors take you away from that. The beds are hard.

Nice hotel, shame about the neighbourhood
Okay so it's cheap, secure, friendly and clean, but it's in the heart of the red light district with four or five pimps on every corner. If this doesn't bother you then you'll be fine, but it isn't the most convenient location and the seedy side of Japan is evident right at your door. The neighbourhood is quite noisy into the wee small hours so demand a room on a high floor, or you'll hear things you [probably] didn't want to hear.

Close to family mart and subway station. Sakae station at exit 3 on foot of 7 mins to hotel. However, it is near to night life spots, a bit noisy, crowded and dirty.

Good and cheap
This hotel was much better than I expected. The room is really small but it's clean and cosy. The staff made the whole difference, they did not speak much English but they were so welcoming and helpful. The location is brilliant, so many choices of restaurants and night life, although it is located on the red light district, it was very safe.

You get what you pay for
Before I start describing this hotel, I should say that it is very cheap and is value for money on the week days. It is located in the heart of Nagoya's nightlife. While there are some odd places to go around here, there are also some fantastic places to eat, etc. I have no problem with the staff - as always in Japan, they are very nice and helpful. However this hotel is quite old and run down. It is mostly clean, with the one major exception that at certain times of the day there was a foul stench from the bathroom (probably through piping) but I suppose we did stay there in July in the hot weather. The room features everything you'd need at a basic hotel, it's just old and a bit gloomy. I booked for 6 nights, but we ditched the place after 2 days. I think it was as much my fault that I booked the wrong type of place. If it was just me by myself I might have stuck it out.

it was a cheap hotel so i really shouldn't complain too much. my biggest complaint is that it needs a new paint job. in the room i stayed in, the pictures are not accurate. yes it's small and cramped (budget hotel that i used for sleeping) but the paint is actually black. same with the walls of the hotel itself. as it's also in the red light district, you can probably also rent it out by the hour. it's the only hotel i stayed in while in japan where i wanted a black light to find ... stains ... on my bed (hostels included). if you want to stay for cheap without a dorm room, check this place out. even though it's in the red light district, many establishments won't welcome gaijin unless you can speak japanese. oh, and most of the staff knew less english than i did japanese.

In the center of the 'nightlife' district
Not the kind of nightlife that you recommend though. Thankfully my son was oblivious to it but this hotel is in an area where the rooms are more likely rented out by the hour. This was the last place available for in Nagoya for the weekend of the F1 race in Suzuka so this was just about the only bed to be had. The price I was charged did not reflect the quality of the hotel but the scarcity of rooms in the city. Overall I feel quite taken advantage of and would not recommend this hotel.
