I've been visiting the restaurants here for years, and they're great. So, I made the huge mistake of thinking the rooms would be worth staying in. I've stayed in all kinds of hotels and AirBnBs in Japan, so I have plenty to compare it to. The rooms in this hotel only have 1 positive quality - larger than typical rooms. Here are all the problems I experienced in this room: * Heating was broken or something, no matter what I adjusted the "Air conditioning adjustment unit" to, it was always TOO hot. * Too hot... so open the window, right? Sure, if you don't mind feathers coming in because the nearby building is raising pigeons. * An in-room TV the size of a tablet... why even bother? * Hot water maker was dirty, and rusty. * Notepad had a phone number written on it. True, this isn't an actual problem, but it goes to show the lack of attention to detail of the cleaning staff. * Mold in various places in the bathroom. * Toilet tank cover was a piece of plastic. * Caulking on bathroom fixtures peeling away and moldy. * Dirty tub * Pipes connecting to toilet looked flimsy and were not securely mounted. * Poorest quality shaving razor I've ever experienced. I haven't cut myself shaving in many years, but I did with the razor they provided. I tortured myself by staying overnight, but the next day to avoid another night of torture. You would be better off staying at ANY other nearby hotel, this hotel does not meet any standards of a Japanese-quality hotel.

Fantastic Hotel in Downtown Nagoya
The only drawback to this hotel was on my end, and that's that I didn't stay nearly long enough due to my plans for the rest of my trip. The hotel staff was excellent and spoke English well; the room itself was fantastic for just a single person and night. I only wish I had known more about Nagoya and would've stayed at least one more night in town..

If you love firm beds, this is the hotel for you
A decent hotel, feels like it's aging but they're doing a great job of keeping it up. The location was fantastic, right in a great spot on Sakae. I was in a room on the 9th floor and road noise wasn't very noticeable - which is great! The elevator was fast and I rarely had to wait more than a few seconds. We had the 2 single bed room and it was actually larger than I expected for Japan. The bathroom was clean but the grout looked pretty old. The beds. Well, this is where the stars are not found. The mattress felt more like a *very* stiff box spring than a mattress. I'm 260 pounds and barely got the springs to budge. Also, each bed only had 1 down pillow instead of several that you usually get at a hotel. Also, we couldn't figure out the AC/Heater. There was a temperature unit on the wall, but it had a sticker attached that said it didn't control anything. There was a stand-alone air filter in the room though, so that made for nice white noise, but we were generally on the warm side. I couldn't tell if the window opened or not. It had 4 latches, but it honestly seemed that if I opened them all the window would fall out. Seemed more like an emergency opening option or something.

Nagoya Getaway
The International Hotel is a great hotel, located in the heart of Nagoya. Although the hotel is old, the rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. The prices are reasonable and the breakfast buffet offers a large selection for any traveler. I will stay here again.

Slightly dated, but spacious room in great locatio
Hotel is conveniently located near the Sakae Station. The executive single room I stayed in had a massage chair and the room was spacious. Generally it was slightly dated and kind of feels there's some dust around; the kettle is showing signs of rusting. Hotel staff were very helpful in getting a cab for me due to the amount of luggage I had. Language wasn't an issue for me as I could speak some Japanese.

Japan GP Stay
This Hotel was home base for me to attend the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit. The Breakfast Buffet was great way to start the day with a great variety of Traditional Japanese and western foods. Shopping and tourist attractions were close by. Some within walking distance. Access to the subway was 2 blocks away. I would return to this hotel the next time I return for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Old and tired hotel. In need of a refurbishment.
Hotel is in a convenient location which is close to some malls. Along the street, there are many dining options and 24hrs convenience stalls as well. This hotel itself is tired and aged. It is past its hey days and is in need of a major refurbishment. That said, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. Considering the price, I might pick another option for my next stay.

Room dirtier than you could ever imagine
The first room I was offered was the smallest on the floor, about half the size of the rest of the rooms because a fire exit cut into the space. After complaining, I was shown a larger room which I accepted. After moving in, it became clear that I should have inspected it more carefully. Curtains were spattered with brown stains, the carpet was incredibly dirty, the sofa was filthy and the wallpaper was black in places. I went down to reception and said I wanted the room cleaned and the extra 1,000 yen a night I was paying for the "upgrade" could go towards the cost of hiring a carpet cleaner. This was refused but the excess charge was waived. This was small consolation for living on filth for four days.

Great hotel
This hotel is did everything that i needed of it. Great location, plenty of 7/11s nearby eateries and a 5/10 min taxi ride to the station. I was only in nagoya for the grand prix and had previously been in tokyo doing site seeing, so this hotel was purely to service that need. It has multiple eateries, a great piano bar on the top floor with 360 panoramic views. Had a woman playing a piano. Very cool. Hotel room was bigger than i thought for japanese standards. Also has a coffee shop interconnected to lobby. Id stay here again, but cannot give a review to its location for other stuff as i literally got off the train and went to sleep there, ate at the circuit and partied there so and plus were early days But good hotel

Mixed Feelings
The location is excellent with plenty to do and dine nearby. However, the overall quality of the room was disappointing. I received an incredible rate on the room so perhaps this was why the room was subpar. Bed was not particularly comfortable and not sure why a hotel named International would not have English language newspapers? Nevertheless, I just needed a place to stay so I guess it served it's purpose.

I have been to a bunch of nagoya's japanese business hotels in that area and this one is alright for its price. Close to sakae station, food and shopping. Room is quite big for a japanese hotel.

This hotel is very well situated but has bad English speaking staff. The wifi at the room did not work properly abd was not fixed after complaints. The air conditioning in the room was weak but was ok in the lobby... the outside temperature was 39 Celsius so we thouht we might sleep in the lobby. Complaints did not fix the problem. Japanese breakfast was ok.

Good location, with convenient subway access, and close to good restaurants/shopping. We were firstly given a smoking room, despite our booking. This was rapidly fixed, fortunately. Bedroom was tired - dirty couch, stained carpets, and we even found a toothpick on our bedside table! Bed was really hard - we saw four rooms during our stay here, and the beds were all quite uncomfortable. Internet was unreliable - consisted of SIM card wireless modems connected to Wifi routers in the hallways - cables all exposed, and ready to trip over. Bathrooms were small, cramped, but serviceable. Overall, not bad for a cheap stay for a couple of days, but not somewhere I would hurry back to.

Good Hotel with Great People
I was very satisfied with this hotel, and like other hotels in Japan everything was very clean and the staff were numerous, professional, and helpful to the utmost. They made my stay at the hotel a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location was pretty good. Shopping and restaurants are nearby, with most of it being located in the nearby subway station (Sakae). Walking several blocks another way gets you to a much larger downtown area where there are many department stores. Local travel is pretty easy with the subway, although travel outside the city probably requires you to transfer at Nagoya station (two subway stops away). I was quite comfortable with the size of the double room, and - although the furniture was a bit dated - everything was clean and in full working order. If I'm ever in Nagoya again, I would be happy to stay here again.

酒店太旧了
这是一家名古屋最老的酒店之一，据说今年就要拆除重建了。确实是太旧了，房间也太小了。打扫的不管如何干净，已经完全洗不出来的地毯，带来的感觉总还是脏脏的。。。希望翻新后，新盖好的酒店房间能够大一点，床能够长一点，至少要有2米吧，不要像现在的床，露头又漏脚。
