Feels like it was probably a decent “city hotel” back when it was built but it feels like it’s aged a bit. The room size and layout is more in line with a typical “business hotel” compared to others in the area like the Marriott Associa or Strings Nagoya. Good enough to have a place to sleep but don’t expect too much luxury feel.
Frankly, this hotel has been "Grand" when it was built. Old carpets and wall papers have sucked in decades of smells. A non-smoking room had such bad tobacco smell that I had to change the room immediately. Based on the easiness and speed of change, I was not the first one requesting a change...

Close to the train station as well as dining areas. Room is a bit old fashioned but convenient location.
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in terms of service. The staff were very friendly and helped me. They printed out maps of the surrounding area so I could find different locations. They also helped me arrange transport to the airport.
