The price was very high and the hotel condition very bad. I would say it is just one-star standard. I paid 270 USD per-night only for the room no breakfast and no Internert. I had to pay extra 28 dollar for breakfast and 25 dollar to get internet. Very poor and bathroom and the room was super small.

There on business very centrally placed

Posted Feb 11, 2016
Pros: Staff
Cons: the general condition of the place
Location: Central Nairobi is not a tourist area, it is close to the IMax cinima and there are one or two good restaurants nearby
The hotel is just badly in need of refurbishment, the public areas are fine but eh bedrooms disappointingly tired and threadbare for the price that is charged staff are very well drilled and friendly

Centrally located hotel

Posted Jan 29, 2016
Pros: The lobby
1. Very small room with cheap old furnishings 2, Access to bathroom required climbing up 4 narrow stairs, 3. Very loud music from nearby disco until 2:00 am made it impossible to sleep 4. Receptionist tried to persuade us to pay $25.00 each for wi-fi - not telling us it was free via the hotel's Business Center

Serious need of upgrade

Posted Dec 14, 2015
Pros: The Buffet is not bad and the staff are great ...
Cons: The rooms needs major upgrading
Location: It's Nairobi go out to the park and see the loins and most importantly get a cold Tusker just not from the room fridge it's a rip off
This hotel was great in the 90s it needs a lot of upgrade seeing as there a lot of newer hotels popping up everywhere in Nbo ...

Hotel not worth the five stars they display

Posted Nov 20, 2015
Pros: the fact that the hotel is central, that about it.
Cons: cleaner, nicer and better trained staff
Bad reception, had to wait long time while the employee where doing some stuff on the phone and computer. Room not clean and very small. Food at the restaurant very average.

Duty manager at his best

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Though it was not a bad decision to stay at Hilton Nairobi, but I still feel the amenities are quite old. Mr Moses the duty Manager was great support in helping in many issues including booking the reservation at double tree in Tanzania. Thanks for his efforts.
