Nice hotel

Laico Nairobi

Pros: The staff and the view from our room the mural
Cons: Rooms need renovating Be clear about costs upfront
Location: Park close walk to main shopping centre
Staff friendly and helpful Meals very good room comfortable but bathroom very out dated Hammering, drilling and noise until we complained at 2 am

Well located.

Pros: close to the city. I liked the swimming pool and their food is also good.
Cons: upgrade their fixtures and upgrade overall.
Its good because it's close to everything else. But they need to upgrade the hotel as it's 1990's style and I don't think they did anything since then to maintain it. It looks like now they are doing some upgrades.

Nice hotel convient in the town centre

Enjoyed my stay and the food was awsome, loved the pool and the conference area was ideal quiet and big enough for large and small meetingd

An OK hotel in the city centre overlooking a park

Pros: Staff were very helpful
Cons: Improve on lighting in the lobby. Mordenise the rooms
Location: Nairobi National Park National archives Museum
Traffic congestion from the airport turned a 15 minute journey into a 1hour journey. On arrival the hotel looked great from the outside, checking in was a bit slow but Jill's smile made me feel welcome. Rooms was ok but need a bit of modernising... If you stay here, ask for a room overlooking the park.. Lovely view Check out was equally slow.. Got help up for 30 min as they awaited to receive my payment from Expedia... It's an Ok hotel to stay in if you are on visiting Nairobi

Construction Noise

Cons: Inform guests about ongoing work before they check in.
Was not informed about ongoing construction noise. No discount given even A/C was u/s!

Pros: Care shown by all staff.
Cons: Attention to detail with regard to service in the Atrium dining room.
Location: Not applicable.
Very disappointing evening meal in the Atrium. Waited 40 minutes for a calamari starter. Walked out. Second evening dinner in the Terrace, Steak Evening, was best steak meal I have ever had. I gave 3 business presentations and couldn't fault the organisation.

There are so many better hotels in the area with the same price. I would not go back again. The room is not worth for the price.

A good (not great) hotel that shows its age

Pros: Location is good; price was reasonable.
Cons: rooms need updating badly.
Location: It's right downtown and next to the park.
The hotel is a decent one but is showing its age. There are lots of little signs of age in the rooms, but it isn't a bad place to stay. The food is good and the people are friendly. It is still reasonably priced. I was in two rooms and in neither one did the airconditioning work well. That was a big disappointment.
