Very friendly and co-operative staff but....Posted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: The staff are magnificent. Friendly and always willing to help.
Cons: see above
Once the renovations have been complete, I'm sure this will be a very nice hotel. Unfortunately, at the moment, construction workers start at 5.30am, that's when the noise starts too and continues until 10.30pm at night. The pool is undergoing a full restoration, so I don't believe anyone will be swimming until at least Christmas (P.S. I'm in construction back home, so have an idea). I certainly wouldn't book here until I verified that all works have been complete.

Busy being RefurbedPosted Aug 13, 2015
Great stay at the hotel, busy going through a refurbishment. For Business the location is perfect close to downtown and close to the freeway for access to the Westlands area.

Nice location to exit the cityPosted Jul 15, 2015
This was my second time staying here, I love the rooms but they have a lot to learn and upgrade their break first options. I will definitely go back again. The rooms are way better than Hilton hotel Nairobi.

Some serious issues to be worked out.Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The breakfast buffet was lovely.
Cons: The pool was dirty and cold. The front counter staff was very disorganized, and seemed to not to care about customer concerns.
Location: Close to City Market.
I booked with Meridian because it had good reviews, and listed a room with 3 beds (although there was an extra person charge). When we checked in, there was quiet whispering between the front counter staff. We found out why once we got to our room. It was a nice room, but with only one bed! We went downstairs to see what happened. I spent almost 20 minutes with the assistant manager trying to explain that I booked a triple room- and that one bed for 3 people would not do. Eventually the head manager stepped in- apparently they no longer have the "family rooms" anymore (even though the picture still appears on their video monitor). In the end, they moved an extra bed into one of the suites for us. We could have overlooked the issues with booking, even the stone hard beds that killed our backs, but on the night before we flew out we ordered a wake up call, a taxi and an early breakfast to go. In the morning,we received no wake up call! Luckily my sister had her phone alarm on or we would have missed the plane! When we went downstairs to inquire as to why they didn't wake us up- the front desk just said "it wasn't in the book". The breakfast we ordered wasn't ready either. We asked them to please pack something quickly for us as we had a plane to catch. There were no apologies, no acknowledgement of how serious the missed wake up call was. After 10 minutes waiting for food the taxi began to honk at us... After 20mins we grabbed what we could and walked out.

Great place to stayPosted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Good quality
Cons: I ordered an early breakfast and it didn't come!
The staff were very accomodating and helpful. There was confusion with the booking as Expedia allowed me to book for three people in a room that only accommodated two people. The manager helped sort it out.

Great Hotel Reasonably PricedPosted Jun 21, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel was very nicely updated. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. Wifi worked great. Service was excellent. Price was more than reasonable. Staff was courteous and efficient. The only downside to this hotel is it's location so far from Kenyetta International Airport, however, my driver did get me to the plane on time.
